OK, that is the normal map and the straps look like they're gone so I need to fix the underwear part of the normal and look at smoothing out the underarm part of the normal too. It also looks like the diff map is mis-mapped. I'll have to look at that to see that I got the right texture in the right place.
Thanks.
...I quickly confirmed it. I used the incorrect difference map for the NKDc model. I am trying to find a proper diff map to use in lieu of trying to modify Ashley's to work properly (having to wash out her skin color properly so it matches the original). Barring that, can someone provide me the original HMF_ARM_NKDc_Diff image? I may need to tweak that rather than try to "fix" a version of Ashley's.

I've considered that (still am) but it would mean totally eliminating the default uniform from missions as I cannot only affect those missions where she needs a breather (obviously). I have been leaning towards keeping the default uniform and helmet as is under the assumption that she'd have an emergency breathing system ready (the helmet) in most possibly hostile environments (like Mars) but not necessarily need, or expect to need, armor.
I also cannot find a mission to run where she CAN wear her armor and needs the helmet in any of my saves for any of my Shepards (i have 7 shepards, a couple just existing to test some basic mods). I COULD leave the mod out of the default uniform (the 00.pcc files) and keep the breather with the default uniform and keep the helmet with the armor uniform but...what missions would she EVER wear it? What missions does she wear a breather on other than Mars?
From what I remember, missions other than Mars where the squad always "gears up" for that are N7: Fuel Reactors on Cyone, the Geth dreadnaught...and I believe that's it.
On the topic of masks in general, one of Williams's DLC-outfits, the one from From Ashes, doesn't even have one, nor is her voice filtered. Even on the 'naught. May need a replacement too, that.
I tried modding her pink CE suit. The armour works fine (after considerable help from Getorex!)
Helmet mesh imports work well, but they don't hide the hair that pokes through. There is something in the pccs that determines whether or not to hide the hair. What it is, remains unknown.
Ah yes, I THOUGHT that was the DLC you worked on. I guess you cannot do a swap of her main game 01.pcc (the one that contains her default armor) for the DLC pcc? Rename the copy the same thing as her DLC pcc but with the armor replaced with the DLC armor and her normal N7 helmet? Presumably, IF that swap could be done then whatever handles hiding the hair for the helmet is already in that pcc...
Alternatively, you were originally working with another helmet weren't you? Might that helmet be modifiable in a manner similar to how I modded the helmet for Liara (though presumably not as extreme)? Artfully extend the back of the helmet to JUST cover the hair? Of course, you could also try that with the N7 helmet. As for Liara's, I extended the rear of the helmet JUST enough to cover her longest tentacles and then slimmed the other rear parts down to keep it as light-looking as I could.
Actually I did try the following:
1. Put Ashley_001 (the blue hardsuit) in the place of Ashley_003 (the pink suit, albeit the modded version) and then renamed it.
2. Indexed again via textplorer
3. Found that now Ashley_001 and Ashley_003 now share the same textures (or at least reference the same one). So I really can modify one of the pccs in isolation
4. Then my PC (after an anti-virus scan) decided to remap the external hard drive (changed it from G drive to F drive). So my 3ds max when nuts and I had uninstall it. Now the damned thing will install everything but the max softward part (It even install composite, but NOT max). Am hoping that Autodesk support will get off their fat ass, but for the moment my modding is on hold.
On a side note:
- I recall some time ago, modding the blue 'officer suit' (Ashley_00) generated some nasty clipping and texture issues. Were you able to over come it?
- I also recall the UDK defines sockets for where to place objects on (visors, helmets, hair, etc). I was trying to see tha maybe if I rextract the face mesh from the hardsuit and place it in the pink suit pcc that it might carry over the socket material. Sound right to you?

As for Ashley's armor mods I've done, I never had problems with that.
As for sockets...I don't know as I haven't had to mess with anything like that so far.

I don't have any femsheps, sorry can't help you with that. All your mesh mods are working and looking good.
It isn't a femshep issue specifically, the game texture for HMF_ARM_NKDc is there whether you have a femshep or not. Traynor uses it and probably Femshep. What I need is just the extracted top image of the default HMF_ARM_NKDc difference texture. I don't want to replace the needed pcc files and then do a rebuild of my texture database (again) to be able to pull it out. If someone with a non-modded Traynor/Femshep game could provide a link to the diff I could use that to create the proper version for the FemShep/Traynor mod. I'm having some difficulty getting the Ashley diff to look/be the same as the default Femshep/Traynor NKD.

Did you re-build the Allers mesh? Just curious 'cause I'm pretty sure it crashes my game when I try to get into the ships cabin (weird I know). The crash-when-entering-ships-cabin has happened before I just didn't have as many backups to pinpoint the problem mod easier then. Again, just curious. I'm not that concerned about Allers, I try to avoid her as much as possible anyway. I still can't believe they put her in the game.
I tried but it is still borked. It doesn't crash my game but it renders her partially invisible (normals are correct though so WTF?).
Don't use it. I'll get back to her later - she's not that much of a priority. She'll still be ugly.

OK, got THAT issue corrected. Game doesn't like Windows 7 64-bit much but got it tweaked. Now if only I can get it into the correct 3D mode for my monitor.

That's strange. I tried CDAMJC's texture mod on my Steam version and it runs perfectly with exception of maybe FPS drops and lags from time to time.Getorex wrote...
By the way Almostfaceman, my ME1 will not start with the texture mods applied. Wont even try.

It wasn't the texture mod, it was a windows 7 compatibility issue with the game itself. This is the first time I've tried playing the game since I upgraded to Win7 64-bit some months ago. I got it squared away and am now reinstalling Pinnacle Station so I can call up and use one of my existing Shepards. Look forward to seeing hi-res textures in the game.
As I was installing the mod (with the auto-installer) and it was playing the bits of music from ME1 it brought back good memories. How great the game was and how I loved playing it when it first came out. I will always have strong positive associations with ME1.

True that, and as time has rolled by and I've played all three games repeatedly I tend towards ME1's music the most and kinda wish they'd kept the same 80's synth sound going - would be nice to see a mod later on that puts more ME1 music into ME2 and ME3. It fascinates me how music keys memories.

Damn, straight! I would like to change Liara's round face with beautiful ME3 (or ME2 LoTSB) face and change default FemShep face with one from ME3. Any news from WV? Will he ever make ME1 version of meshplorer?

Haven't heard anything. I know there are people interested in having the ability.
I've been considering trying something. ME1 uses all upk files, no pcc files. Many of them SHOULD be openable/editable in UDK. I've been thinking about pulling a psk out, editing it, converting it into a upk and then trying to do a binary/hex swap of the original game mesh with the new one just to see if it will work.
In truth I don't want to make that many changes to ME1. Mainly minor things and, ideally, I'd like to unify my Tali face mod across the entire series. Other than that, just tweak minor character oddities here and there so I rather hope if I do a small alteration to a mesh from the game it wont change so much that it wont be able to go right back into the original upk file in the game and be usable.

Damn, ME1 looks good with the hi-res textures (sure is dark compared to ME2 and 3...had to crank the gamma up). It also looks great/works great with NVidia 3d vision.
I like starting the game with my favored armor too! (Starting at level 52)
I wish I could mod some meshes in ME1...
Colossus ftw! Awww, poor Jenkins.
