Attempting to mod actual body meshes

The ASA_HGR_LIAe only has one texture file within it, the Diff color texture map, so I'm assuming that the Spec and Diff bump maps are being directed towards using those texture files from the main game's visor files. Also, taking a look at the displacement in the screenshots again, the DLC helmets does seem to be using your helmet textures that you created, but somehow the textures are being displaced on the mesh itself (nor are they using the texture from the CE visor either).
I'm speculating that this glitch I'm experiencing is more of an issue with the file/s naming conversions, the ASA_HGR_LIA(x) thing, to which I'm stumped on how to resolve that exactly.

Almostfaceman: thanks for the image. The face looks just a little odd to me for some reason - maybe it's the lighting. I rather like the hair but am not keen on swapping the hair universally. She should NOT have a bun in the love scene, for instance.
I was trying to pull the face texture out of me2 but my me2 texplorer crsshes every time I try (and I've NEVER done me2 before.

I did that method and waited for the Save Changes to take effect and and be saved in the PCC file, but changing the LIAe Diff file to match the helmet's Diff texture did not fix the problem. As I said previously, I suspect that my gitch is somehow related to the naming conventions with the ASA_HGR_LIA files between my system (which has 2 different versions, LIAa and LIAe) and the lone LIA version on your system, but I can't exactly prove that without confirmation from someone else with the CE who tries either the From Ashes or AAP helmet mods, nor do I have any idea on how to fix it.Getorex wrote...
AVPen: I checked and there is only a diff and norm. Because the collector edition mask differs only in color, only the diff needs to be different. It will use the same norm as LIAa. So long as LIAa diff and norm, and LIAe diff are changed to the helmet, it should work. Remember that after insyalling the new textures in Texplorer you need yo go to the File menu up top and select Save Changes for it to take. Wait until the little window pops up with "Done" before you run the game to check.

I had a similar issue to this when I was trying to test the Traynor mod. Texplorer was telling me all the NKDc textures were swapped but the game showed otherwise. I think I ended up rebuilding the texture database 3 times (dlc and all) in order to get a full current list of all the NKDc instances so I could find the one I missed. Thing is there should have only been two, one of which appears not to be used at all. I had to ultimately replace all the pcc files I was modding for Traynor/femshep and rebuild the full db again (unfortunately, because the mod affected dlc I had to do the full rebuild and couldn't keep the current dlc database). I suspect you may be in a similar situation where texplorer shows all textures modified yet it is mistaken. For me, I suspect the issue poped up due to texplorer instability issues. It would error out and crash in the middle of a mod process or when I attempted to save changes in texplorer. Poof. The app and database became confused and it became impossible for me to fix it without going vanilla and rebuilding the db.
It SUCKS because it takes modding work that involves textures impossible and slows down other work like using 3ds or udk to generate mesh mods.

I think I may have found a workaround my Hair clipping issue. Would it be too much to ask for the following:
- The UPK file for the clear-helmet used for Ashley Williams
- The UPK file for the Ashley ME1-to-ME3 face mod?
Also, did you have to use any custom textures with your clear helmet mod?
Thanks
EDIT:
- My Method worked!
- Used your suggestion of using the hardsuit PCC (Ashley_01) to replace the pink catsuit mesh (Ashley_02)
- Edited my custom Ashley_01 using the AssetExplorer module in me3explorer
- It worked like a charm.
- May I tip my hat to you sir for suggesting to use the hardsuit PCC
- I would grateful for the aformentioned UPK files. If its not too much

What is the name of Liara's pcc in the CE that provides the red visor? What is the DLC called?
The DLC that provides Liara's red-visor and suit is the Collector's Edition Pack (DLC_OnlinePassHidCE is the file name)
The name of the PCC files in question:
- BioH_Liara_02 (used in gameplay, aka: shooting, stabbing, etc...)
- BioH_Liara_02_Explore (used in cutscenes and general strolling around)

Glad it worked. I wasn't sure it would as I'm not aware of anyone trying it before but it seemed like a reasonable experiment. Outstanding. I'll put the files up shortly. I did not need any texture alterations for the full face helmet, fortunately.

Ah...odd that the helmet changed just fine for the mod (even though I don't own CE and do not have a DLC called that, natch...and I don't have any Liara_02 pccs (unless I misunderstood prior comments). If someone would like to throw together a CE DLC-specific mod for the Liara helmet I could provide the helmet upk, and the textures are in the texture zip file provided in the OP. That would be all that's needed to put together a specific mod (or do a manual mod to your own system).

By the way did you have to change any of the textures around as well, for the Ashley ME1 mod. If so could I get them?
I got this weird little bug

Oddly enough, this looks a lot like (with the right eye) what I saw briefly when they were carting Ash from the Normandy to the hospital - but it was so quick and I never saw it again after that. And of course her face was more beat up and wounded in that scene.

Oh there are plenty of those retextures. I just always felt that it still looked like a Cerberus catsuit and should have been an entirely new model all together ala Jack. I'm just wondering if it's a simple model swap.Getorex wrote...
MACharlie1 - that would be an idea...or her current uniform texture could be modified to a different colr set and with no hint of Cerberus on it.

Perhaps a little better for a legacy armor mod, this is using ME1 armor with the Winter Camouflage texture:
These armors (there's actually only one per class, heavy, medium, light but with different color pattern to differentiate) are much less complex than ME3 armors. Good and bad in a way.
It's your mod, but I like the Colossus mod, that or the N7 or Onyx.

Oops. I know what this is...the materials are mis-assigned so the wrong textures are applied to the wrong parts. I will have to regen the upk from the correct psk.

The problem is that someone asked if I could modularize it (the way the armors in ME3 are so you can mix-match the forearm from this armor with the shoulders of that armor, etc). The armor texture patterns from ME1 do not match well at all with the details of the ME3 armors. ME3 armors, regardless of design, all have a heavy woven Kevlar fabric appearance and similar colors. The textures of the ME1 armors are totally different in appearance and the Colossus is one of the worst offenders with regards to mixing/matching with other ME3 armors.
The alternative is to leave all the parts alone and unmodded and only change the overall armor so when Shepard suits up in armor X and only in armor X, it looks like Colossus, or Triton, or...etc, but when you do the mix-match you still use the ME3 parts that look right when mixed together.

Oh, I didn't think you were attempting that and was just looking at it from a whole suit perspective. It's all good, just never have been a big fan of the cammo armors in ME1.

If you would be so kind. The clear-helmet on the other hands works like a beauty. With some minor neck issues, but I can easily fix that.
EDIT: If its too much of a bother, you can just upload the psk files and I can generate the UPK myself

I am actually re-doing Ashley's ME1 face. I cannot find the working version so decided to start over BUT I can probably reassign the textures in the borked one you are using and it would render fine. Let me take a look at it and decide how much of a deal it will be to fix it.

I am working with that one as I write this to recheck how close it is to ME1 Ashley...I want to improve it if needed.
...and after checking it again, it is damn close (I did reduce the nose slightly but the facial contours, lips, etc, are virtually the same.
And I went ahead and generated the psk from 3ds (corrected one bad vertex that may be in the game version):

Before I forget, I ran the Liara romance mod and there were seams and shadings(?) issues similiar to the one's I had with the Ash romance mod. If you'd like I can run it again (I was playing without FRAPS) and take some screenshots. I don't know how much of an issue this is, considering you don't really get to see much of Liara as a male romance... I think I've heard though that there's more revealing stuff for Liara if a femshep is in the mix. Anyway, yeah.
That's usually a normal map issue. I'll check to see if I provided an old/buggy normal and, if so, will swap it out for the original.
And I checked it. It is a generated normal and it needs to be the original. I don't have a copy handy...anyone have the original Liara romance normal texture? It would be for BIOG_ASA_ARM_LIA_R -> LIAd. I need that normal map please.
