Thanks. To fix Liara's romance scene appearance yoursves, all yo need do is replace the normal map that came with the mod with Liara's default norm map (with Texplorer). The seam lines should disappear.

I'll incorporate this norm in the mod soon as I can.

Hey survivor_686, how does that Ashley hair bun work out in action? It looks pretty good in your screenshots but I recall there were some issues early on where it didn't quite work perfectly in the game. Mainly minor appearance issues. I may apply the mod to my own game, but leaving the romance scene with her long hair and just want to know what to expect..

@Getorex

I really can't take credit for the Ashley Bun, (that belongs to Church0071 of me3explorer).

As far as I can tell, it works pretty well. Some complain that it looks like Kaidan's hair from ME1, but that's just a trick of the light.

Its worked out perfectly so far. There is an already existing mod, which affects only her non-romance meshes. Her romance mesh retains the long hair look.

Here's the link to Church0071's thing: http://me3explorer.f...un-t245-10.html

Perhaps a little better for a legacy armor mod, this is using ME1 armor with the Winter Camouflage texture:
Image IPB

These armors (there's actually only one per class, heavy, medium, light but with different color pattern to differentiate) are much less complex than ME3 armors. Good and bad in a way.

It's your mod, but I like the Colossus mod, that or the N7 or Onyx. :)

The problem is that someone asked if I could modularize it (the way the armors in ME3 are so you can mix-match the forearm from this armor with the shoulders of that armor, etc).  The armor texture patterns from ME1 do not match well at all with the details of the ME3 armors.  ME3 armors, regardless of design, all have a heavy woven Kevlar fabric appearance and similar colors.  The textures of the ME1 armors are totally different in appearance and the Colossus is one of the worst offenders with regards to mixing/matching with other ME3 armors.

The alternative is to leave all the parts alone and unmodded and only change the overall armor so when Shepard suits up in armor X and only in armor X, it looks like Colossus, or Triton, or...etc, but when you do the mix-match you still use the ME3 parts that look right when mixed together.

i really dont care if it look a litte odd. is it possible to texture the armors to fit? i know there is a texture mod for me1 that has that kevlar look on some of those armors.

Especially if there are texture mods for ME1, as you mention, that provides a kevlar-like appearance, then it is (almost) trivial to do it. Separate the shoulder plates into their own mesh file, the forearms, etc, and either Gimp the texture to make it small and only focused on the part in question of leave it be and make sure the UV maps to the same spot in the main uniform texture.

I haven't looked at the meshes for the parts at this time so I am not certain what is included.

the total absence of mass effect 1 armor in the sequels kinda annoyed me. as i wanted to use them, but i had to mod the game to have them.

this mod has some kevlar looking armorswww.youtube.com/watch

Well, the armors in ME1 were very simple in comparison to the much more complex versions in ME3. ALL ME1 armors are the same on the mesh level and do not have raised areas for thigh plates, forearm covers, etc, like ME3 armor does. The appearance of armor plating is entirely left to the applied texture overtop. This is a step up, in some respects, but I do get your irritation - I'd have liked some continuity. Perhaps take what was in 1 and update/fancify them in 2 and 3 as the level of detail increased/improved.

Whoo! Welcome to Nexus. :D

Anyhoo... three things: First, I discovered I already have made the better specular and normal maps for Topless Ash (the ones that had geometry-baked body contours adapted from the original normals) and can provide them to you. I seem to be unable to get them to load properly with Explorer, so I am hoping you or Ottemis know your way with that better than I. What format would you like me to send you them? BMP? Unsigned DDS? Mipmaps in the DDS? I'm more versed with BGS game texture formats, not Mass Effect texture formats.

Second, would it be possible to adapt Topless Romance Ash bod for FemShep?

Thirdly: You can post adult content pics for mods on Nexus, so long as you flag your mod as adult content.  No mosaic censoring required.

I'll take them as png or tga.  The normal map I'd prefer (if you can) in RGB8 format, unsigned dds or u888 depending on your software export ability.

Ashley's romance texture is already somewhat adapted to femshep (by extension of me making it for Traynor...Traynor and femshep use the same NKDc texture).  You are welcome to it and welcome to improve it if you are able.  The skin renders properly in-game, as far as I can tell, but there are still some minor flaws I'm still trying to run down.  The Traynor texture IS nude vs Ashley's which is topless.

Sure, it saves me time but I can do it if its in u888/RGB8 format in Gimp.  I just can't do anything with v8u8.

Thanks Mudcat.  The Ash textures will do fine and will go into an immediate mod revision.

Request: I could use a few screenshots of the Miranda body mod in action if anyone could produce them. I don't have any handily located saves available so I cannot produce one on short notice to go with my Nexus mod upload.

I'm starting up another playthrough right now, I can probably get one of Meeting #1 in the spaceport in a day or two (once she appears).

I forget... at what point does she appear?  I think it's after you complete the Surkesh mission...

Need help...I just ran my Tali full face mods on my system but the Default portion crapped out at the very end when it was updating the DLC with a "Error occurred: Block index offset values out of range..." Is anyone else getting this? I don't know if it is a glitch on my system or in the mod and the debug window provides no useful info.

I would, but I'm having issues getting things set back up. I went to a vanilla database and now I'm experimenting with installing textures when I've got MEHEM in place. So, I'm not there yet. Sorry.

On the full glass-face helmets... There seems to be a seam across the top, where the tangent space split when you altered it. Is it an unavoidable problem, or something you weren't aware of?

Kaidan's hair is also sticking out of his helmet...

Need a screenshot.  I don't know what the problem is.

As for Kaidan's hair...I'll have to look into it but it seems odd that it would occur since all the mod is is a change to his own helmet face.  I didn't alter the rest of the helmet, only the face mask.

I'm doing a wipe, something else is messing up anyway. I'll see if a fresh install will fix Kaidan's do.

Anyhoo: http://static2.nexus...-1390754412.jpg

See the seam down the center of the crown? Something split the tangent space down that line. It's like that on all the helmets. I wouldn't be surprised if UVW seams elsewhere were splitting the tangent space as well. Normal maps rely on the tangent space for rendering, and can look off when they're rendered on geometry that doesn't have the same tangent space they were baked to.

Until I can figure out how to manually take .pcc files out of .mod files, I've figured out a way to install texture mods without screwing up MEHEM. I just downloaded the "manual" install of MEHEM, looked at the files, then went to the game directory and made those files "read-only" temporarily while I installed the textures. Whenever me3explorer barfed at a read only file, I just stopped that install and moved on to another. This way I at least got some (a lot) of upgraded textures, and MEHEM works. Giddyup.
