Ashley: mucho thanks on that long bit on the spec. That is clearest and most helpful bit I've seen and it allowed me to much improve the spec on my EDI head mod. Soon going to use the info to improve Colossus, urban camo, and others. I ALMOST know what I'm doing now.

Well done Survivor! Looks great. Also to you Dust, that's about what you can expect without doing deep hex editing ala Ashley.

Haha. No problem! Glad I could help! It's just all what I discovered while making my own mods. Hopefully after I get these additional armor/clothing in place I'll release some of my own... maybe I can recruit Ottemis to do textures.

@droid which method did you do? the easy install or did you manually modify your coalesced?
Hi Ashley: I did both, I added the armor codes in coalesced (changed coal file for me)
Any suggestion to fix?

The only other thing I can think of is if you don't have the citadel DLC and I might have something lingering in my Coalesced.bin that is referencing the citadel dlc.

Now to apply what I've read so far to the helmet.
@Getorex
Don't forget I couldn't have gotten the mesh working without your tutorials. thanks for fixing Ashley's head.
Btw, I meant to say earlier that these screens are awesome!
Also, i noticed in your diffuse that you had some lights in there (the bright red spots) don't be afraid to alter your specular (blue channel) to add those lights in as it really adds some depth to your model. Also, experiment with your specular a bit using your diffuse as a base and starting with the green channel. The biggest problem i see with people just starting to texture is: a lack of good normal maps and a serious lack of decent speculars. Keep in mind, there are very few things in this world that DON'T reflect light in some way so try adding some to your green channel's specular even if you darken it alot so it doesnt affect it as much.
Happy Modding!

Hi Ashley: Is there away to save the new armors and casual outfits you made beforereinstall me3explore or do you have to start again?
If you replaced your .pcc file you shouldnt have to worry about me3explorer overriding anything (it wont). It will just read the new .pcc file. Also, if you already ahve me3exlporer installed and have the database built, you should only have to rebuild your database. (I have no idea if that answered your question, lol)

It's "somewhat" High Res, but I like it and is my goto outfit for casual wear. Here's what it looks like right now. Is that what your looking for?

To be honest all I really need to do to make it high res is to fix the lines on the knees and either remove or fix the lines on the little logos on her shoulders. Everything else I made high res.
On another note! Just wanted to let everyone know what I've been working on a bit before I started this whole crazy project of adding new armors. I really like Tela Vasir's armor from ME2, so here is my work in progress so far.

Still needs a good bit of texture work, but I think the model is pretty spot on.

I have a custom miranda black casual outfit that I made that works for armor if you want. I put a nice n7 logo on it and made it extra shiny for that PVC look lol.

Wait...a solid black featureless texture is a sign of incorrect/bad me3explorer setup? Son of a... I've been plagued by a few bug reports from a few people at nexus about this or that mod not working and only producing a black texture (utterly featureless). It has been making me crazy as I try and try to figure it out and produce textures for those mods that don't produce the problem but when it all works properly on my system its nearly impossible to fix when it's invisible to me.ashley66444 wrote...
The black textures are usually an indicator of me3explorer not being setup correctly. I'd check over Ottemis's tutorials on these before proceeding further. Did you backup your files?

I actually consideredd using it for Ashley, but:
- The armour plate is missing aroud her neck / clavicle area. From a semi-realistic point of view, its a pretty glaring vulnerability.
- Heels. The mesh has Vasir wear some decidedly unpractical heels.
Now the textures for Vasir are pretty easy to grab (Diff, Norm and Spec available from get go). If I were talented at mesh editing, I could see some boot switching goin on, but am not.
I do plan on adding a Spectre insignia to her armour soon...
