Sorry for the necro but my buddy has this glitch on the 360 and the USB trick doesn't seem to be working.  It still gets stuck after plugging in the Retaliation stick.  Anyone have any other workarounds?

The glitch fixed for me after the patch that just came through today.  I'm not sure if it's random or not though.

The patch should have forced a resync of your info on the server, so it's not random.

no, PS3 also has it, but the glitch is random, not for everyone

This glitch just fixed itself for me at random one day, and I never got it again. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It's been two years since this post was first started but I've just been hit with the multiplayer screen freeze too. I've tried redownloading my multiplayer pass but that didn't help so I've just been unplugging my dsl cord the moment the the multiplayer screen starts looking for DLC content and after a moment plugging it back in. THn it boots up fine. It's a few days from New Years 2016 and I've been polaying ME3 MP for almost a year.

It was hard to figure out what happened bcause just the other day I knocked over my machine (and caught it) but it was enough to scratch my #1 ME3 disk (Xbox). I was just thinking about copying the darn thing over to a USB chip the day before too. Anyway ...luckily enough the #2 disk also has the whole game on it so I copied it to a USB  flash drive and was booting up that way for about a week....then the big freeze. I noticed that just before the freeze started the load up was getting a bit glitchy. Almost freezing but still making it through.

 

I hope that it will go away on it's own. I've read that on about four different gaming sites. I haven't reloaded the retaliation dlc yet but I might try that. A lot of people have been thinking it's to do with the gamer tag itself. Almost like a corrupt boot log. Maybe that's why it corrects itself. At some point our gamertag gets overwritten.

I'm just glad I can still get online to play. I've got a ton of 360 games but ME3 is by far my most played game (multiplayer that is).

 

Now to find someone who does disk buffing for the #1 disk (or buy one of those kits that claim they can fix scratched disks) because I would like to play the single player campaign again at some point in time.

 

Anyone else experience the freeze lately? Lately as in the holidays 2015?

i had the retaliation glitch as late as October, but it went away after a couple of days
