The problem in using this forum's search function is in asking the right question.

'Best map for grabs' will return multiple results.

'Best grab maps' will return nothing.

Ideally the best search term would probably just be 'grab.'

The actual best way to do a search is to do a google search restricted to BSN since that will search more than just the thread titles.

OK, I followed Jeremiah's advice and went with Giant/Cerb/Bronze/Solo. I stayed in the control room and got 52 in 6 waves. Played until the end of wave 6 and bled out at wave seven.

Used level 12 Krogan Sent w/ tech armor. Used one ops pack but probably didn't even need it.

Thanks everyone.

I did mine on giant/cerb/bronze/solo. Using a turian ghost with geth scanner means no use of consumables (stim packs) and you can see the enemies ready to be grabbed from around corners.

Dagger/Reapers. Use the following method
Image IPB

Reason is that the reapers have husks. Husks are cheap on the wave budget (meaning you can milk more grabs for the same budget) and do nothing but charge to your cover to be grabbed. You can do it using gold wave 1 repeatedly. Wave 2 gold has a brute which makes things more difficult. Just be careful of the cannibal grenades and know that you are invulnerable when grabbing

Many maps have similar areas that are blindspots for the AI. The one on ghost should be familiar to many. Its the one desk in the hack room with the ammobox and ladder leading down and the stairs going down. You can use that one as well

This is what I do, but with Geth (no grenades).  I usually get 70 to 80 grabs per Gold solo.

Vancouver.. If you are farming it, go to middle of map to the right of insertion point.. And draw enemies there, you can farm 100+ per solo

I remember I got most grabs on FBW (old layout geth farming) with the whole team back in basement and me on the steps just behind the little cover plate on top of the stairs. Everything coming down was grabed (pyros too then)
I wonder would the same strategy work now

Got most of mine of Giant Cerberus Bronze.

In the control room, behind the desk closest to the ladder and double ramp down. The enemy camps at the doorway (grenades don't make it past the roof girder above the first desk) and when they step forwards, hop over your cover, behind the first desk and grab away.

FB White in the bottom room and FB Glacier in the upper central room, easy peasy lemon squeezy ;)

Play solo against Cerberus, using a kit that can take a few hits, Krogan Battlemaster is who I normally use but played well, any kit could be OK.

Play Gold if you can handle it, silver if not, hop over the counter when they come looking for you and grab them before they move away.

If you're lucky several units all line up to be grabbed in the same place, my longest streak in a single spree is 4+ on the trot.

When other units come around to meet you on the other side of the counter, you simply hop back over and repeat the process. :)

Extra Info:

Assuming you're trying to complete Combat Mastery, there's no need to try and complete grabs by doing a solo etc. 1M melee points is a lot and in both my experiences I always maxed out grabs before reaching even 500K.

You only need to tap the grab button, it's not neccessary to hold it down, in fact that usually messes things up :pinched:

Absolute easiest is reapers/white/gold.

Just sit behind the low cover near the ammo crate in the back of the map, just keep going until you get killed (wave3) and restart; imo the fastest/easiest way.

Oh, something more to add:

You should farm your Grabs with Enemies that don't throw Grenades(Geth), so you don't need to move much in the first few waves.

White.

But beware, that you will have an extremely high chance of creating and invincible enemy that can glitch out of a grab if it's interrupted while you were attempting to pull the enemy over cover. Sucks to encounter this crap when you're going for your 250 grabs...1+ yr after release.
