It is lighter than the rifles, so it's good to use with low level characters on Bronze. But as you progress to Silver and Gold it starts to fall behind fast in my opinion. Just takes too long to kill something.
I equipped a Drell Assassin with it with HVB, Piercing Mod and AP Ammo. Melts Reapers. On Gold.

Thanks, I'll give it a try with my Drell... The low weight is really a big plus for the Indra because it lets you spam your powers.LineHolder wrote...
@Stryfe ... I guess so. But when I look at my AR list (which includes the Harrier and the Typhoon) there are just too many drawbacks to each one. I feel like the Indra covers all bases.Lord Nutfork wrote...

You're welcome. Using that set up did not let any enemy come close ... except for Banshees, of course.
Although that said, I do have a general question. Does HVB + Piercing Mod (which provides 90% negation of armor) combined with AP ammo result in any redundancy? Am I wasting that AP ammo if armor negation is capped at 100%?

Other than niche weapons (PPR, Typhoon, Falcon, M7) or whenever raw DPS is needed, I see absolutely no reason ever to use another AR over the Indra.

Mostly because of the hip-fire penalty and the obligatory scope.

Also, OP, I'm just guna leave this here...
Typhoon works so much better with some accuracy bonus like the one provided by... a scope!

This is incredibly obvious but it's all about what class is using the gun, and what that gun is specialised for.
Weapon dependant classes will always be looking for ways to maximise their DPS. Weight is less likely to be an issue. More fragile players looking to get instant hard hitting power will opt for the Harrier. Players who can afford to be in the open longer, or have some means of staying out of enemy fire may prefer the Typhoon or PPR.
classes dependant on powers, on the other hand, tend to do substantially higher damage if they bring along a gun with a lower weight. This is where the Indra shines.
Best AR in the game? Unlikely, and requires you to define what you mean by "best"..
Best AR for a power-dependant character? Probably.

ME3MP is a game where the best Assault Rifle is an SMG (Hurricane), the best Sniper Rifle is a Shotgun (Crusader), and the best Shotgun is a Pistol (Talon).
The best Shotgun is actually a flamethrower (Reegar) and the best weapon overall is actually the Harrier.

I've heard all the arguments before.... It's still one of my favorite guns on the Turian sentinel, Drell infiltrator, Geth engineer and even Human engineer on open maps. Maybe it's because I play more Gold than Plat.
Basically Stability/headshots or/and ROF + scoped detonators turns it into a incredibly efficient gun for its weight.
At level VII, it gives something like 180% cooldown... you can bring a good sidearm for close quarters and still be in the 130/150% cooldown range most casters excel at.

I can agree with the Harrier being the best weapon overall. The Javelin gets my vote for best Sniper Rifle, though. One shot, one kill...and dubstep.

I love using the Indra. It's one of the few sniper rifles I'll actually use on the Huntress.
^ The only reason I'm not using it on her anymore is because of the power damage mod I can put on a hurricane or CSMG but I miss the accuracy.

lmao. Why though ? I don't feel like I'm doing much more damage with the Hurricane. But I'm still trying to figure this out. I actually changed the power damage mod for HVB last night and I felt like I was doing more damage. The other mod I use is the stability one but I can't hurricane without it.
