Low Recoil.
Automatic.
High ROF.
Quick reload.
Lot of ammo.
Higher damage than most ARs.
Built in scope.
Lightweight.

The Collector SR is better than the Indra in almost all of those categories. Yes, it weighs a bit more, but levels for it are also easier to come by to make it weigh less. It has NO recoil, it's automatic, higher rate of fire, infinite ammo, higher damage than most ARs EVEN with it's hipfire penalty, built in scope, and it's hipfire penalty only loses 25% of it's damage instead of half.

Lighter weight and a faster reload, should you empty it's clip, are the only things the Indra really has over the Collector SR. In closing, the CSR is the best AR [besides the Harrier... Dunno why the OP would put any sniper in the same category as the Harrier..]

I'm gonna give the CSR another chance. But managing the heating mechanic can be tricky in tight situations.

I'd suggest bringing a back up weapon while you're still getting used to it, else, you're going to be doing a lot of running away.  Hehe. Also, don't be afraid to blind fire. ^_^

What's the hipfire penalty on it?

I used to don' like it much but now it's one of my 3 fav weapons for my TuSent.
With HVB and AP ammo or HVB + piercing mod and warp or incendiary ammo (not even using the warp-incendiary glitch) it just wrecks stuff, not damage lacking at all.

If you like it on the turisent, try it on the Geth engineer, incendiary ammo HVB + clip. You won't be dissapointed.
Its a great gun with a clip on that kit, because say you are pounding into an atlas, you can switch mid cip to the small guys around the atlas and bring down their shields, then detonate a fire explosion on the atlas... it's ... satisfying.

the Turian can also do this of course, but I find the Turret (restoring my shield gate) give me time to empty the clip and the hunter vision greatly increases my ability to setup fire explosion chains.

I tried that a long ago, back when I didn't like the indra very much, I'll give it another try soon.
But unfortunately you can't put a mag increasing mod on it, seems like you're mixing it with an AR. :P

@LordRosario

I tried the CSR and it zooms in more than the Indra, at least, that's what it felt like. It's probably why it has a lower hipfire penalty.

I still prefer the Indra but I think the CSR is also better than most assault rifles. If you don't have one of these, the other will get the job done.

Just tried it on the Drell Assassin as a possibility for using all my sniper rifle amps (can't keep the assault rifle and SMG ones in stock). Wow!
