Which weapon is best for the N7 Destroyer? I noticed that the Particle Rifle in its second stage definitely drops things much faster than the Typhoon, but it chews through ammo very quickly and the reload animation is very long.
Which do you prefer?

I prefer the typhoon and AQ is dead on when saying it was built for the Destroyer.. Bioware had that particular kit in mind when they created that gun,,

Well I think the Typhoon. Less downtime while cooling down, less wait for ramp up.

Double shot Executioner only with destroyer is nice as backup, but for both weapons ppr and typhoon different built of destroyer is needed I guess.

Nope. PPR's ROF makes Incendiary godly. Same with Reegar. (if you use Warp cheese or Inferno nade cheese it's extra parmezan)

Incendiary is required for the PPR because you can't reload cancel it the same way you can with the typhoon. So you're waiting for the ammo to regenerate while doing NIL damage if using AP ammo, whereas if using Incendiary the regeneration times perfectly with the DOT and thus you have consistent damage.

Typhoon is more powerful for prolonged conflicts. It can keep firing, reload cancel, penetrate cover and it benefits from adrenaline rush, marksman, thermal packs.
PPR works very well on destroyer, but with PPR you'd be ramping up or cooling the gun down for more than 50% of your time. So overtime the typhoon wins out.

Compared to the PPRs pinpoint accuracy the Typhoon is more of a spray and pray gun, so if you're good enough to consistently score headshots you will feel the difference. Also, as was pointed out before, with incendiary ammo the PPR does consistent DPS and does NOT run out of ammo in the long run. It has a good synergy with the hydra missile launcher and benefits immensely from the magazine bonus from DM. I'm not a big fan of the PPR, but compared to the Typhoon it is just better on the Destroyer.

You make a statement about how something is required for a weapon to be effective, and as soon as somebody challenges it you go for the most extreme example... lol
So since we're going that route, what if I told you the GI can 1 clip any enemy in the game on any difficulty with a PPR and AP ammo?
