And while we're on the topic of other classes collector adept ppr warp ammo. Prime a target and pretty sure that one clips any plat boss.
OT I prefer the ppr but I'd likely use the typhoon on the destroyer because not every class can use it well.
You can put the ppr on damn near anything and do well with it.

Well, if it helps, I can drop Banshees in one clip with the Typhoon, while the PPR can't do this.
On what setup and difficulty are you failing to drop banshees in one clip of a ppt?

You said one clip ENEMIES, bosses are enemies too regardless of type. Of course the AP PPR can kill stragglers in a clip but when you need the juice it won't cut it; i play platinum exclusively where there are loads of boss units and if you run dry killing one of them, good luck surviving.VoidNeXus 000 wrote...

So you're telling me that you can one-clip platinum bosses from full shields with your AP PPR?
You're drunk, go home.
You make a statement about how something is required for a weapon to be effective, and as soon as somebody challenges it you go for the most extreme example... lol
So since we're going that route, what if I told you the GI can 1 clip any enemy in the game on any difficulty with a PPR and AP ammo?

AP ammo ppr can't cut what? Killing bosses? That's asinine. Incendiary HB probably does it better but to say AP ammo ppr is going to be some sort of liability:? no no

AP IV = 50% damage bonus against armor upfront
Incendiary IV = 50% damage applied as 3 second DoT
using AP ammo also makes the AP mod unnecessary with the weapon... use EB instead for 25% more damage upfront. Skipping the AP mod when you're running incendiary will sacrifice a good chunk of damage to armor DR.
I'm going to let you figure out for yourself which choice leaves you being shot at by enemies longer.

And to add to incediary vs ap ammo on PPR, I'll have to go with ap ammo. Tried both and I find ap ammo works better (probably because I don't like leaving enemies to die while I run around). Also (I might be wrong on this) don't the 25% extra damage from the barrel mod translate to 100% when the PPR heats up? If that's true then AP ammo wins.

That might be the issue then chap.
As I'm sure you have read elsewhere all the ammo regen guns benefit from level ups more than average guns due to increased clip size and the ppr more than most because the longer you can stay in its ramped up mode the better.
Keep chugging down those packs and when it gets V+ you will see it REALLY wrecking face

Yep.
Also OP, it's really up to you although the PPR is statistically better (I think) Typhoon isn't that far behind.
Also, dakka.

The Typhoon is actually pretty far behind.... which doesn't make a whole lot of sense considering the 2.0 weight but that's another discussion.
The closest competition would be the Harrier.

Incendiary ammo seems to be the worst on paper, but there's no use in comparing it in that way because of the stacking bug, which makes it stack way higher than you'd expect. So once you've dealth with the shields you're pretty damn sure to take a good chunk of the armor away in the same clip.
Also the ****s around here coming at me, you're making yourself look silly.

With either AP/Drill ammo or HVB you can. Taking neither gimps your DPS versus boss units anyway.Lathlaer wrote...

How far behind? I see the Destroyer as a pure DPS class, so a great desparity there would tip the balance in the Particle Rifle's favor.
