partlicle rifle is infinetely better on the destroyer as well. my word is law and i dont need an argument, so just smile and deal with it.

when they nerfed the typhoon they also screwed up the stability factor ( making it less stable as you leveled it up ) and it required a stability mod on it.   Much later they fixed this bug freeing up a spot for extended barrel, making it good once again.  The typhoon is a very good gun on the destroyer, but not as good as the ppr overall.  Wait until you get both at X before you pass judgement on the Bsn psychology.

My opinion is based on game play, not what "BSN says". I like the Typhoon, never said i didn't like it. Just that the advantages for the PPR make it more devastating on the Destroyer than the typhoon for me. Plus competing for thermal clips with Harrier users just kills the fun of using the typhoon which also burn through ammo quickly. Instead of waiting for the gun to recharge, I have to run around hitting crates. Good luck finding thermal clips with 2 or more harrier's in the game...

P.s. Nerf award goes to the Krysae sniper rifle... not the Typhoon. it's a great gun, but it weighs as much as a Krogan sitting in a UT-47A...

Reloading is what happens when you screw up and hold the trigger too long (it overheated). The PPR does not reload, it simply cools off. Stop before it runs out, and it will recharge allot faster.

By never reloading, you are also never interrupting your Hawk Missile lock on. (When reloading any weapon, your Hawk Missiles' lock-on gets reset, making it pointlessly wait until you're ready to fire your weapon again before beginning to fire itself. This does not happen with the PPR as there is no reload animation if you play it right.)

When equiping drill rounds on the PPR it can wall hack just like anyother gun. Try it out on the GI, or equip the geth scanner on the Destroyer. Personally I like the PPR, nothing like melting mooks and smoking remains of banshees to make one's day.

Food for thought, if one or more of your teammates are running Harriers, then you are going to have a tough time finding ammo. Especially on Plat games, where the stupid crates barely give out ammo and if you're on Condor, the PPR clearly wins because of the glitched ammo boxes that only refill at the end of the round. :happy:

I stand corrected. Just tried it with drill ammo and you are right. Unfortunately my PPR is only at III while my Typhoon is at VIII so I won't pass any judgement on the issue.

I think you took the meaning of the words "bsn psychology" and "nerf medal" the wrong way. I myself base my opinions on ingame playtesting. I am the one criticising the bsn psychology. Dont accuse me of saying that I make opinions based on what bsn says. I used to be firmly in the "PPR > Typhoon" club. If you search typhoon threads from a few months back, I would always say in those threads that typhoon is worse than PPR. Now, thanks to the teachings of high lords Cyonan, Redjohn, Feneckus (who made those infamous videos) and so on, I now know better.

I only have each gun at level 1, so I can't pass judgement in any definitive way. All I know is I love the Typhoon, and can't hit the broadside of a Praetorian with the PPR. And the Typhoon is just plain fun.

I really disliked the PPR in favour of the Typhoon, until I got a PPR V...I feel that is the tipping point where the PPR overtakes the Typhoon on a destroyer.

I was not taking what you said personally, I do understand what you mean about BSN's nature. I wanted to clarify my position on the PPR and the Typhoon. What did I say in my post that accused you of following BSN psychology? If i did insinuate that, than I do appologize for that.

I also made it very clear i didnt; want to play geth on london using a spitfire GE with no fitness.
