I cleverly had Elanee learn the "Craft Wondrous Items" feat, not realizing that in order to make any of the things I want, she would need to be able to cast wizard spells.
Am I just boned? Do I have to waste another character's feat slot? She can't use the scrolls either, so that's not a workaround.
any fix for my dumb crafting mistake?

A fix for what? I mean, what do you want exactly? Obviously, Elanee can't craft stuff that need arcane spells. You need a wizard or a sorcerer (or a warlock, who could potentially craft anything, no matter the spell type) for that, but that doesn't mean that "you're boned" or "wasting feats".
If you just want to remove that feat and give her another one, you can do it with the console or probably a save editor, or you can just relevel her.

I made a lot of poor feat and attribute selections in my initial playthrough. It didn't really have any noticeable effect on completing the game, even at the hardest difficulty. The original campaign is very forgiving of mistakes. But I think the console solution is the easiest and most straightforward one. You can just remove the feat and add a different one.

Most of the Wondrous Item recipes use cleric/druid type spells, so she can still make most of the boots, belts and amulets, and a few cloaks. The feat won't be a total waste.
Qara could craft braces of AC if you also gave her the feat.

I think Elanee is the only one that can make Amulets of Natural Armor (Barkskin spell), but I might be wrong.
The Craft Wondrous Items feat means that you can make Amulets, Boots, Belts etc by using the proper spells. It's not Arcane only.
The best crafter in the game is probably Sand and Zjaeve. I haven't used Ammon Jerro as a crafter so he might be better or worse from them. But Elanee can make some pretty unique items.
Generally, crafting feats are not wasted on spellcasters. It's one of their strengths.

AJ would easily be the best crafter, but you get him so late you'll only get to give him one feat; so, if you do give him crafting, you have to choose Wondrous or Arms/Armor.
(He's the other character who can make Amulets of Natural Armor).

Yep, warlocks are the best crafters, but only if you have MotB installed (I think Imbue Item wasn't available in the vanilla game). Besides, they usually have a few feats to spare, so they don't lose much power by taking the crafting ones.
If you want Ammon to be your crafter, you could relevel him with the console and take a different feat at level 15. That won't make him join you earlier, though, so you'd still have to wait for a long while to start crafting.

If you re-level him, be sure to give him Web of Purity (if it matters to you).
