I wonder if he'll be one of our first companions, or if we'll get him later on? I hope he's one of the early ones. Partially because I really like him, and partially so that he can loot chests for me if I'm not playing a rogue. I always feel weird not playing a rogue because Bioware always starts us with a mage and a warrior, and then I can't open chests until I find one. It drives me crazy having to pass by all those nearly worthless chests.

LOL- yeah, Ostagar as anything but a rogue was the worst! I think we'll get him pretty early, since the bit of gameplay they showed had Cass, Viv, and him, and because those are the earliest revealed companions. Never know, though. They could make us wait... David does love the salty, bitter taste of our tears, after all.

Ostagar wouldn't have been so bad if Davis was a halfway competent rogue and could actually you know...pick locks.
Anyway I have a hunch he'll be one of our first. At least I hope he is. I always have issues with using character that get introduced late in the game.

I would love Varric as an LI--he'd be funny and yet confident in a way Alistair wasn't. The fact that he just exudes 'i'm going to be your best friend' anyway is intriguing; it would be great to just let that naturally transition to a romance. Aimo more then enough proves it's plausible as well as adorable.
