Sorry, I'm sorry if I came off as snappish. I was just taken aback by the bold red lettering was all. I meant to sound surprised, not b*tchy. ![]()
Thank you for the quotes by the way. It cleared things up nicely.
<offers an olive branch and a mug of ale> Truce? I'm certainly not out to start fights with other Varric lovers. ![]()
Anyway, back to happy fun-times.

MOTORBOATING.

BONUS!
PS: APOLOGY ACCEPTED, HUN!
Going along with that happier note, we should probably see about getting a new Varric thread started. I'll leave the rumors at the door, and just join in the appreciation for the most well-written dwarf I've met in BioWare's history of including the race. ![]()
Just found this snippet at the end of the video, Brian Bloom says he'd like Bianca (the crossbow) for... certain reasons ![]()

You almost had me going there, but when I clicked on the link I recognized the quote. He'd use it for the same reasons why I would. ![]()
Those 'motor boating' gifs seriously crack me up. Hahhaa
Also, I never took to stock the whole "looks like child thing" I figured it was just misinformation when I first heard it. : )
Okay, so back when we picked apart what the dev said about Varric still being hung up on Bianca. One theory bantered about (feel free to claim your theory) was that Varric might just be a difficult romance. Take it too seriously, he gets frightened and breaks it off. Take it not seriously enough, he thinks you're playing. That makes sense, because Varric covers up anything he doesn't want to deal with using humor and word play, like when he overblew his involvement with Bartrand and the mansion. His relationship with Isabella is also full of playful flirting and suggestive dialog.
If the dialog wheel is similar to that of DA2, with one nice answer, one sarcastic, an aggressive, and a romance, what if they throw us a curve ball and, having spent the last game training us to hit the romance option any time it comes up, with Varric we can only hit it every other time the heart icon appears? Or every third? And choosing the heart at all opportunities causes Varric to treat you like he does Isabella, but too few and he doesn't even think about it?
Funfunfun.

While it sounds like an intriguing concept, it also sounds like a huge mound of rage bait just waiting to happen.
"What do you mean I was only supposed to press it every other time? Where does it say that in the manual?! YOU RUINED MY GAME BIOWEAR!11!!!"
Too much rage already.
I feel like DAi has caused the most rage before release out of the Dragon age games hahaWhile it sounds like an intriguing concept, it also sounds like a huge mound of rage bait just waiting to happen.

Oh, but I've heard stories about the days right before DA2 was released. According to some of the veteran posters, it got very ugly, and the DA:I comments so far haven't been quite as bad.

Oh no, I was here in the days of DA2, and it was far uglier. The return of race choice silenced many critics.
I also think that the features of the new forum layout, such as a better reporting system and the ignore feature, have helped out a lot.
Luckily, I haven't needed to utilize any of those features. Though I am tending to stay to the forums were people are nice
I.E Varric Thread and Cullen.
I go to Sera's thread but once I see bickering I run away, I can't take it. Haha
Ahh, yes. I bet people were angry about that. Excuse my ignorance towards the anger during DA2 release haha

That, plus the voiced protagonist (which some are still not happy about) and that DA2 would not be the continuing adventures of the Warden.
I don't understand the second part . Why would they assume DA2 is the continuation of the Warden with the possibility of

The Orlesian warden from Awakening, maybe?
A lot of people are upset about an US continuing in Awakening, but it was a glitch. They couldn't link US to the character creator properly. Understandable, but disappointing.
Back on topic...
You know, up until she started accusing random templars of being under blood magic because Cullen told her to calm down, nothing Meredith did made her seem crazy. Makes me wonder if Varric didn't notice anything unusual or wasn't there when she started doing crazy things. Could have stood to have a templar in the Gallows saying something like, "She wants us to investigate the Merchant's Guild for signs of blood mages in hiding? Huh?"
Hey everyone, FiveForChaos and I just sent a request for Allan to lock this thread and we're starting a new Varric Thread right now. Hope to see all you there! ![]()
Good bye Old Varric thread ![]()
