Varric is the one character I'm unashamed to use the word "bromance" with.
Even Brian Bloom's minor characters are funny (Dwyn especially).
Is there a way we can start luring the Devs to start posting in this thread?
I think it's going to be a little tough since back in the pre-DA2 days we managed to get Mary Kirby to spill some beans that she wasn't supposed to spill (by confirming Brian Bloom as VA) so I guess they're gonna be more cautious this time around.
Plus, Varric is already a very established character already, so there's not much to ask about... aside from whether he's an LI this time around.
In case anyone's interested, here's Varric's character kit.
I am sincerely hoping that the lack of exposed chest hair means only those who get a love scene will see it. 
I think I've gotten to the point where I can't talk about Varric without turning into one of those squealing fangirls.

Poor Varric. He likes being indoors (or at least inside city walls) and yet he's starring in a game that seems to be set mostly along the countryside, in arid deserts, and everywhere but comfortable taverns like the Hanged Man. On the bright side, he'll enjoy being brought along on the inevitable trips into Val Royeaux.

I think he's going to be changed, but not to some major degree like Anders seemed to be. It's not like he's possessed by a spirit of justice or anything. Bioware writers have said they don't bring companions back unless they feel that they can do more with their story and I feel there's a lot of room for Varric to grow and be awesome. Fundamentally, Varric was always a good person and I feel that's going to be his big flaw in Inquisition. Look at the demo and you can see him disagree with the Inquisitor's decision to leave Crestwood to its fate. I think he won't be able to think in terms of the greater good or long-term effects of his actions. But I also think he's going to be a total bro to your Inquisitor.
Because of how DA2 played out with the dlc/expansion getting cancelled, Varric is probably going to be the big source of exposition on what Hawke was up to before he/she vanished and that's probably his reason for staying with Cassandra. Given the inevitable cameo appearances by old companions, I totally can't wait to hear him say "Long time no see, Daisy/Junior/Sunshine."

How can you not love Varric? I'm conflicted on whether to have him in my party though because my character is going to be Qunari so I feel like my character will have to be serious. I don't know, we'll see I suppose.

So besides the Inquisitor who do you think is going to be Varric's best buddy in the group? It was easily Isabela in DA2, the banter between those two was hilarious. Out the companions revealed so far, I have a feeling he might have a bromance with the Iron Bull.

Looking at those Brian bloom gifs...I think they tried to capture more of his face (and beautiful eyes *cough*) on Varric's new face model for Inquisition.
Now, I consider myself a heterosexual male, but the first thing I found myself thinking while watching that video was, "My God. It's like I'm drowning in them."

I wonder if Varric will remain the only character with chest hair? Or do you think the rest if Thedas' male population is too ashamed of their own in sight of his?
Seeing Brian Bloom in that video makes me wish Varric was completly motion captured.
Is anyone else hoping for a nickname from Varric this time? "Inquisitor" sounds very formal , it would be nice if Varric gives you a nickname of some sort. I was also a fan of the romantic nicknames in Mass Effect (Siha, Lola) I'd like to see a return of that.

It would have been fun, I think if one could had Aveline choose you over Donnic, but I'm not sure the devs can do that to Bianca.
