This game doesn't have anywhere near enough explanation for anyone not familliar with it.
I want someone to explain the entire interface breakdown and everything about it, Skills everything. Reading the manual hasn't explained anything that can be sorted out, watching videos and all this other nonsense.
I started on SOZ and was on a ship...and after running in circles around the ship looking for anything I can do, I pretty much wasted 2 hours for something to happen, and when nothing did, I shut it off.
They throw you on a ship without any instructons and just magically expect you to know what to do which is impossible:
You need all this information BEFORE you can begin playing.
Who can teach me how to play?

When in doubt, hit the J key to bring up the journal.
I suppose the makers of SoZ assumed the player had already been through the original campaign and 'Mask of the Betrayer'.

Yeah, you should start with the original campaign, which begins with a tutorial section, I'd say. SoZ is the second expansion.

z-key : Inspection. This highlights everything you can interect with in a light cyan glow. Right click hold on the object to "Examine", or just left click on the object to (possibly) perform a default action to it.
NwN2 Gold keyboard conrols - looks short & sweet ... (SoZ adds features, i think)

While I agree you should play the original campaign first, BEFORE you do, reload that SOZ game, walk over to where Volo is/was and pick up the book on the deck next to him and read it. There's a lot of good info for new players there.
Also - assuming you figure out how to get through doors, portals, etc. (hint: click on anything you want to interact with) - when you go through a portal/door, your computer will load the new area and you will see a still image while it's loading; read the little blurbs that show up on those loading screens until you're well familiar with the game.
