Although, it kinda depends on what's going on when we get...air dropped into the story. Will it be at war? Will there be revolt going on?
I just don't know what situation Orlais is gonna be in? So, then all the finery may look battered and worn, and almost ghoulish. Beauty marks askew. lol!
I was hoping to "tour" the place a bit before we got into it w/the dramaz. I've been wanting to see Orlais and all its audaciousness since DAO.
If the story permits, tho, I would luv to see sum OTT fashions. And color. And song.

Excentric stuff here ... Good for Opera and Carnival and maybe those people doing nothing outside of taking care of their appearance.
THose people were also highly narcissistic.

Orlesian mage dress for those who like frilly fem clothing (doesn't necessarily have to be black and white):
I think it'd be cool in all white.
Ooooh!
Forget the game, I'd want that irl!

Only the aristocracy would wear such thing. You know .. People with 10 servant per each 1 inch square of their avatar ? Common people would not dress like this. Which was the majority of people living in France.

I agree, the lower classes won't be so fashion forward. I do think they would TRY to be, and that in Orlais clothing would be as much a key to higher status as money. That's just my theory though

I adore that cover, and Mr. Blue man above. Beautiful. The men should be just as over the top as the women. The heel was invented in France - for men, in the 18th century.
If thats the case in DA3, then all 100% of the male players will play a female character.
I highly doupt any heterosexual male will want to play girly weak and fashionable male character in DA3.
Wow so many generilizations and implications in just one sentence. I salute your ability to assimilate asinine stereotypes sir.
Anyway I like the colorful direction the Orlesians are going in, it fits them. Though some of these really are painfully over the top and I wouldn't wanna see them unless the character who was wearing them was equally over the top. Which I ain't opposed to. I want more weird characters. Like Rosalind in Bioshock.

Well, they didn't seem to have any problem playing Raiden in that new Metal Gear Rising or whatever game. He had heels.Mass Fraud wrote...

This is beyond absurd.
No one who did anything but sit in one place every wore anything like this.
I'm thinking a lot of people are going to be disappointed.

And I'd want a dress like this for a female Inquisitor on the right occassion:

Rich Nobles that throw parties like this are a must for this to come together:

Well this one looks less gay. No Problem with homosexuality but I don't want my character to be forced crossdressing.

I like how Katniss' hair is braided across the front and down in the back. That's fancier than your average hairdo, but not overly so for people who don't want to go to the extreme and look like the woman standing next to her:
