Use to be:

Bronze-Silver: Don't care, will play with anyone
Gold-Platinum: LV15+, using consumables, and N7>120

Now with the level of PUGs decreasing greatly:

Bronze-Silver: Don't care will play with anyone
Gold: As long as I have one other person that looks capable, I let anyone in
Platinum: I don't PUG this anymore, unless with a friend. Just not fun anymore.

bronze and silver- anyone is good in my book, even if it looks like I will have to drag them through silver.
gold- I would like consumables and level X weapons... if not I will be wary of how the match will go... I never vote to kick unless they are grossly under prepared.

Bad players can have good equipment and weapons. And you won't know they're bad until you play with them.

That's been my philosophy for ages.

I typically play with anybody on Bronze or Silver. I can easily carry any wave on those if necessary.

Gold depends...

If I feel I can carry, or am just really bored, then I will just play in the first game/lobby I land in. If I don't want to have the whole game rest on my shoulders, I will lobby shop.

I try to look for
-500+ challenge points
-characters leveled higher than 15
-decently leveled weapons
-consumables are optional, but definitely welcome

If I see a bunch of N7 100s (or around there) with a hundred challenge points and level 1 rare weapons with no gear, I assume I'm going to be soloing most waves and if I'm not in a carrying mood I will definitely back out and find a new lobby.

I typically won't play Platinum at all though. Takes too long and I don't like having to try that hard very often.

Gold pugs - at least one of the players seem competent - 5000 CP > with complete equipment. i don't care about the other two. if not i'll look for another lobby.

platinum pugs - i rarely do this anymore. if i will it has to be two competent players with complete stuff.

when playing pugs i don't host and use quick match with consumables ready so sometimes i get dropped on ongoing match.

Don't judge the book by it's cover... I love Striker and constantly use it on my TGI or old school burn everything in the way KroSol.

paahhh, giving a f*ck about PUGs? f*ck that. I stopped caring and take N7 20 novaguards into gold. simply because one PUG is as good as the next one.

EDIT: yes, I carry ever single gold game I play.

Personally, if they have gear and consumables on gold, then I'll give them a chance. If no gear and consumables. Then they'll get a shiny red x. I have given people too many chances without gear and consumables that weren't missile glitching just to get burned. I never take that chance anymore. On silver and bronze, I don't care if people don't use consumables or gear. I have gone through those difficulties without it. It's gold and plat that I'm wary of if I'm pugging.

The only games I ever check to see what other people look like are platinums. Everything else I can solo if need be and be grateful for the warm bodies.

Anything on silver with a 1 infiltrator rule.

Gold, still have the one Infiltrator rule and anything level 15+ and some consumables. I play mostly pugs or with one other buddy and it is my feeling that in Gold, everyone should have some stake on the table...for this game the stake is consumables.

Bronze:  Don't care

Silver:  Mostly don't care, although I wouldn't want to be in a lobby with 3 low N7's with low level characters and low level weapons.  At least one person who has a Level 15+ character and a decent weapon is all I care about.  Just because I could solo every wave doesn't mean I want to.

Gold:  No more than one player who doesn't appear to be prepared.  "Prepared" means at least 3 or more of the following:
- High level character
- Good weapon
- Loadout that makes sense
- Uses consumables

Platinum:  I usually don't play Platinum.  But if I'm going to play, I need all 3 other players to meet all 4 of the criteria listed above for Gold.  I can't carry Platinum and I don't want to even try.

If they're below 120 N7 I always vote to boot them.
People here seem to say that N7 means nothing, but
after playing a few too many matches with low-leveled
scrubs, I could care less what people here think.

Otherwise, I try to be pretty accepting. classes with
weapons that make no sense however, like adepts with
Black Widows or Claymores I tend to be wary of as well.
The exception tends to be when it's a level X, then I
start to kind of feel like they know what they're doing,
but even then, I'm always cautious.

I'd say no matter what, go into every match fully
prepared to have to solo every wave past six.

Usually I stay in the lobby if there is indication that at least one other player can handle Gold. Exp points, weapon levels and their load out, what gear and consumables they use.

Weapon mods is a huge give away. Anyone who use piercing on explosive weapons, no piercing at all on Gold+, ULM on AR/SR/shotgun, shotguns without Smartchoke (excluding Graal, GPS, Reegar, Crusader and Venom) are pretty much give aways that the player has little experience with Gold.

This, so much....

Also, no gear or missing weapon mods is a dead giveaway. Missing consumbles could just mean the player is a hoarder or can't be bothered.

I will usually play with anyone on bronze or sliver, but change my load out if their N7 is less than 100. On gold or platinum I feel like the people im playing with should be at least N7 300 and have their character level 18 or higher

I kick everyone under N7 6500 and CP 55000 on gold and platinum, 'cuz y'all know dat N7 and CP meanz skillz rigt? Seriously though, I kick people exclusively on platinum with no gear/equipment and retarded kits/loadouts. Don't care about N7, CP and level of weapon. I seldom PUG plat without any friend with me though. And if this/those friend(s) are good, **** it I don't care, get your easy credits!
And, really, lvl 16 on silver

By playing a game with them and so long as they try to help by participating in objectives and what not I'm fine with them sticking around. However, if I see that you have a possible missile glitcher setup then I may kick you and at the very least will have fraps fired up just in case. This part isn't exactly a problem on PC as I think I've maybe seen a total of one or two potential missile glitchers ever.

I kick only if they're Luxemburgian. I still haven't forgiven them for all those wars they started in Europe.

Also, if they don't even equip gear or lvl 1 consumables on Gold+ It's a boot from me.

How about if they are under N7120 but have a disproportianetly high challenge score? Like in the 15k range or so? I'd give 'em a shot if they were geared up.

edit: haha my spelling sucks.

I may prejudge in the lobby based on loadout and kit/weapon/gear level, but that usually doesn't mean crap as I'll likely ready up anyways. You only really know about other players once you've had a few matches with them, and if I already didn't know them then I rarely stick around in lobbies to care or find out. Better to just play than fret over a lobby, imo- part of the fun is just giving w/e a go and seeing what happens anyways.
