No gear equipped aside from stronghold package.  Missiled wave 8 and 9.  At the end, had 1 medigel, 1 ops, and 2 thermals remaining.

A disproportinate high score is common in pugs, not all but most. A 16 min Plat, even Glacier, someone was using rockets, more than likely spawns. And if the game is rocket spawns on Glacier, I agree we do not use gear either, no need.

In a normal game I wouldn't even consider running Platinum without gear and I have played with the majority of the old regular XB posters here that I consider the best in this game, I have never seen them without gear period.

To each their own I guess, I play very little these days but when I do, regardless of the pug, I will run gear, I have so much what else am I going to do with it, as for the experience > equipment, sorry with close to 5k games in I don't buy it.

Ah, OK 16 minute Platinum Glacier -> speedrunning Glacier with missiles. Yeah, gear not very important. I never speedrun in PUGs, and rarely otherwise. I thought we were talking about PUGs?

I didn't use gear on this platinum game after asking everyone in the lobby for their blessing... I did it specifically for this thread. I used 2 missiles on wave 8, 3 on wave 9, and a cleanup missile for wave 10. GI, Harrier (HVB + magazine) and Scorpion (Heavy Barrel + magazine).

Objectives were in our favor... easy escort, stupid-easy pizza, and targets.

Yes, the absurdly high score was from missiles. Regardless, I was still on top of leaderboard prior to missiles. And like I said before, I missile to speed up the game, not to score-****.

The point is, gear is not a requirement. Requesting someone to put some on is cool... demanding it isn't. Let others play the game the way they want. If you don't like their style, find a different game. Find friends to play with. Post on BSN requesting others to join you...

You asked why no gear... I responded with why I sometimes wear no gear. I'm not lazy or inconsiderate... I just like having the added pressure to do well without the extra bonuses. Once again, gear is nice- not a requirement.

*EDIT*
Someone else launched a missile in waves 8 and 9.  Also target objective was completed by someone nuking them.

Look at map mastery...  Perhaps Alijah is going for waves / extractions for challenges and wanting to do them quickly so bronze/silver games right now.  67.3k is respectable for those lower difficulties... especially if using unfamiliar, low level chars, with unfamiliar bad weapons.  Maybe there were a lot of "I need 1 more wave... lemme start a game, finish wave 1 and die out" scenarios. Like Dala Karr said, you don't know all the variables.

Don't ass-u-me you know how a player is going to be until after you've played a few games with them...  (Didn't I already post somewhere in here about not thinking poorly of others prior to playing??)

You take a set of numbers from someones account and equate that with their ability to play the game as a whole? Yup, you completely missed the quality called "objectivity".

Fascinating. Lets break it down

You say the numbers do not mean how well they play the game. True, but the poster i quoted specifically said he/she would likely outscore others without equipment.

i) Are the numbers and simple calculations i posted wrong?
ii) Are the numbers reflective of score?

If true and true, you are shooting your own foot by not maintaining context. For example, your "multiple perspectives" would say i did not look at all the angles if i was choosing to eat chicken and instead i should eat vitamin pills and thus fail to recognise context.

The last part is particular telling. You are trying to show yourself as being intelligent and mature in having mutiple perspectives. Sorry, but live long enough and you'll realise thats nothing special. Many people have the same ability + the ability to maintain context

If you are sitting in the lobby with a green check ready to go with no equipment on Gold and higher difficulty, why do you do it? Then you get in game and suck terribly (you are not that good)... I demand an explanation! WHY?!!!  

What if the gear they put on is irrelevant to their loadout? Like Grenade Gear V on a Justicar? Or Sniper Rifle V on a character using a Shotgun?

I'm pretty sure that that is one of the ones they have fixed pretty regularly for people.
