If you are sitting in the lobby with a green check ready to go with no equipment on Gold and higher difficulty, why do you do it? Then you get in game and suck terribly (you are not that good)... I demand an explanation! WHY?!!!  

What if the gear they put on is irrelevant to their loadout? Like Grenade Gear V on a Justicar? Or Sniper Rifle V on a character using a Shotgun? 

I am pretty sure they recently changed kits and forgot/ or haven't had time to change their loadout. I would give them some time to recognize or IM them that their gear is off. That happens to everyone.

I understand the topic has been discussed before, as most topics have been now-a-days with no new DLC or balance changes.

We are on our own out here now so in acknowledging where our own noobs are falling short and addressing it repetitively may be the only way to curve it. For those who pay attention to the forums, anyway...

And I must point out that I refer to the problems coming mostly from noobs. I do not accuse PUG nation, all be it that is where most of the noobs reside. Some Vet's miss the bus too, but their time put in often warants them a pass from me.

Agree it's a redicilous reason for not using equipment, many biotic and tech powers benefit greatly from equipment, the power itself, not the explosion but every time I throw a biotic power for example doesn't mean the goal is an explosion to that specific enemy, I may be running a kit for example with Warp and have that kit set up so that the team benefits from an enemy with warp on it, i.e. weapon damage.

But cheap is cheap, some simply won't run it, some post on BSN stating they don't need it, I have played with a few and that has not been the case, well unless they were looking to be carried but that is a who other topic

If I'm not relying on BE's, I'll use equipment.  90% of the time, however, I'm playing "BOOM" characters on gold.  Weapon chars, I'm using weapon + ammo eq.  Vanguards, I'm using incendiary + power amps, etc.  Using it for BE chars on Gold feels like a complete waste.  If someone requests I wear equipment on a BE char, I'll do it without question, just to make them feel good going into the match.  Is it required though?  Yes and no.  If you haven't been playing long, probably a good idea to wear it.  But there is a point where knowledge + skill > equipment.

There is logic in your text.... you can't dismiss the fact that consumables also preserve as a balancing tool... You say that Biotics don't benefit from consumables...

I say this is not true.... I sometime use a stability consumable for the Bloodpack Punisher, this so I can use the ultralight material mod.. You see, that is balancing your character. Why... It affects my cooldown massive!

You can't tell me that you don't have massive amounts of stupid consumables, like "Targeting VI I" I have so many of them, I just use them....

"oooh no consumables... I love these matches... that means your an amazing player! I know guys, let me take all mine off too ... no wait lets ALL take off all our consumables... I'll This is going to be A W E S O M E... and long. Wow so long. Usually at least 10 mins longer, maybe more! But that’s okay because I love this game and the logner the match takes the better because I get to play LONGER!!!!!

Playing with these sorta people, isn't usually much fun ... so I try to make it fun.

They don't gear up because they're bronze level useless leechers who only buy 99K packs and fail every second game.

Sadly, failing at Wave 7 on Gold is both quicker and just as profitable than succeeding in a full game of Silver.

Because BioWare did a godawful job with the payout curve between difficulties.
