How many people have the soundtrack? I bought mine off iTunes for €10.

I like it , but I'm a bit disapointed by a few things, like how all the character themes seem like combat tracks. Also the lack of any sort of song like  M4 Part 2, and how most of the music seems to be action tracks. I like action tracks, but I like the exploration / "city" music too. This leads me to believe that most of the music has been recycled from the first game, like for the ctitdel or whatever.

The Lazurus Project theme is awesome.

From the samples I've heard, the one thats really caught my attention is the Illusive Man's theme. The piano is quite epic.

I would want the soundtrack, but I don't know a place to get it. Amazon and iTunes just won't deign to sell digital music in Hungary. Is there a place that sells it internationally?

You only get 12 tracks of it, not the full thing.

yupp, I live in Germany,

and I'm truly sorry for people who have to wait a few more days, I'll never understand why they can't just make things available around the globe at the same time and thise whole region code BS
also, I had my fair share of messages from amazon.com telling me I can't get certain items or downloads from them
most recently the Dead Space OST, which isn't even available from german amazon...

*sigh* but I'm ranting, sorry

One of my fave tracks on the first game was 'Final Assault' although am sure in game it was longer, as just as the track is ending on the soundtrack seems to be when the track really begins to kick butt and push you on further in the part where it plays. I hope there is just as epic if not more epic track in the sequel

I've been making it a tradition to get the game's soundtracks before the game itself lately, and I think Mass Effect 2'll be no exception.

I feel your pain.

While growing up I was used to getting all my foreign language media in dubbed form. Fortunately  at some point I realized that the real deal (with subtitles if necessary) was infinitely better than the "localized" **** you were supposed to swallow.

Nowadays the dubbed stuff just makes me cringe!

Don't buy ME2 OST if you don't like Hans Zimmer creations. It's exactly the same music style as in The Rock OST (movie, 1996).

"The Normandy Reborn" has the same structure as "Hummell gets the rockets", but shorter.

Most characters themes end up with heavy action oriented music like many "The Rock" tracks.

Sam Hulick confirmed recently on FaceBook that BioWare wanted "darker" and "more orchestral" music for ME2. Jack Wall and him did a good job, but I'm afraid it's stereotyped and unoriginal at will.

I liked the soundtrack It sounds pretty good, more action oriented than the original though. Some themes like Reflections, New Worlds and Illusive Man aren't so action like. Thanes theme along with Garrus' sound similar to the ME1 style of music. Other than that, new stuff. I was supposed to be putting up some tracks, but YouTube is giving me so many problems now i don't even know if i'll be able to do it. Still trying though.

Its not on iTunes yet, unless your in Germany. Just search Mass Effect 2 Soundtrack on Amazon and it should come up. Same cover art as the game.

Thanks, and do we know what the E3 Reveal song was? Sounded like a revamp of the ME1 theme.
