At least on a class with built in shield stripping ability. Superior mod choices, better CD, infinite ammo, comparable damage versus armor. I wonder why I don't see it used more often?
You obviously aren't in enough games with me then.
It is also fantastic at applying ammo powers.

You could make an argument for it being superior overall on a high damage power class as well. 30% buff on power damage is nothing to scoff at.Ledgend1221 wrote...

I could, but that would be constructive.NuclearTech76 wrote...

LOL. Yeah I would say the harrier is better on weapons based classes like Infiltrators, soliders, etc. Any power spamming class, engineers, adepts, vanguards, etc you're probably better off with the comparable damage and the increased power damage. The harrier does have smooth target to target headshotting and great range though but proccing, weight, and power buffing go to the CSMG.Ledgend1221 wrote...

Pretty much my rule is if I'm speccing power damage in the passive tree then I have to consider the CSMG.

Also, on pure powers characters (= without grenades of any sort) is a relief to know that I'm not going to need any ammo box trip.

Yeah, definitely. CSMG X > harrier X for casters.
At lower levels? Na, definitely not.

Doesn't just have to be shield stripping. Power based kits like adepts, vanguards, and tech classes like engineers.HolyAvenger wrote...
Not that many shield stripping kits in the game tbf.
IE Asari Vanguard with the CSMG and incendiary rounds. You can fire, proc, charge for FE and your charge/lift nades get a 30% buff in damage.
