If I was Shepard, I wouldn't stand and watch Thane get stabbed, I'd have shot Kai Leng a couple of dozen times, and I would have thrown every single piece of **** pistol out the airlock and kept the Paladin for everything.

Too bad the only way to stay with her, she would have to stay in her suit.

For Tali, I can deal with it for as long as I need to.

I wish I could get to stay in Quarian Colossus Armor from ME1; Except for a red mask, and some red hugging her waist, and little on her forearms, her is suit is pure jet black. It doesn't even have the tiny white plaid lines.

On Grunt's recruitment mission, the wounded merc?

Convince the guy that I'm investigating the Krogan cloning facility for suspicion that it's illegal research into a Genophage cure. And by "investigate," I mean "extract Okeer for interrogation and bomb the place from orbit." Point to Virmire as an example of how the Council deals with this kind of thing. Maybe Mordin can even "scan" a nearby Krogan body and "confirm" Genophage markers are absent to corroborate the cover.

The merc can tell his friends that it's up to them whether they want to be there or not when the shots come raining down. Cooperate, and they'll live. It'll keep the Blue Suns focused on containing the Krogan so Shepard can pass them without fighting.

Also, either skip Jack's recruitment mission or torch Purgatory after getting her out of there to ensure no escapes. "Billy" doesn't get to go on his stabbing spree.

I headcanon that if you sabotage the cure with Wreav in charge, Grunt takes one look at the state of Tuchanka upon getting back there and blows Wreav away.

Reminded of conversation with Mordin Solus. Two ways of helping people. Heal sick people or kill dangerous people. Both help. Merc was dangerous. We were helping make sure Thane lived. Shoot him.

There is also Elnora the mercenary who is begging for her life and if you cut her a break she tries to kill you.
