I would have got the star kid to bring up Anderson's dead body. Or hell, one of the many thousands of corpses the floor below. Then placed that in the Synthesis beam with great reverence and then not died. Woo!

Or shot the Destroy conduit from a distance.

I'd freaking talk down the Intelligence and insist for hours if need be, until he understood how ridiculous his solution was. Failed that, I'd pull the plug to the massive center computer and go home to the Citadel  to play a bit more at the Armax Arena. Might invite Aria to play with me.

If I were Shepard, I'd wonder why Jenkins' shields couldn't withstand a short barrage and Kaidan and mine's could.

...shoot Fai Dan's gun out of his hand or knock it away biotically, or have Tali sabotage it.

...try to romance the crazy water supply girl (don't ask me why).

...I'd split my squad on Virmire, either sending two squadmates to secure the bomb site and go after Kaidan solo, or send, say, Tali, Liara, and Garrus back and bring Wrex with me (heck, the Normandy is RIGHT there... all hands on deck, right?)*

...be grateful to The Illusive Man for giving me another shot.

...screwed up Tali's loyalty mission (honestly, I wouldn't have thought of either paragon/renegade checks there...)

...let Zaeed go after Vito while I saved the refinery workers.

...told Thane to regroup with us instead of attacking Kai Leng directly.*

...whupped Han Gerrel's butt after he tried to destroy the soon-to-reactivate Geth fleet and suggest he be court marshalled.

...told Aria to go screw instead of help her with Omega.

Someone said it already, but I'll say it again.

I'd be dead on Virmire; or close to it waiting for the nightmare that is ME2-3 to end so I can wake up in the rubble. I'd take too much medi-gel, dust off my blues and tuck my N7 tags back into my shirt, check the Mako to see if it's salvageable and start looking for crew members that survived the crash.

After that, the hunt for Soverign and Saren is on again! Maybe now that we have some insights; like Sov. hunting for Leviathan and not trying to correct the cycle, we can find out what Levi actually did to mess up the cycle.

I would let my squad come up the beam with me so if by off chance i'm faced with 3 galaxy changing events they would be there with me and help me get off the citadel after i pick destroy.

I'd make a renegade decision from deck 2 of the SR1: "Joker, we are leaving. Get your ass to your escape pod. That's an order."
Joker: "No. I won't leave the Normandy. I can still save her."
Me: "Let the record state that Flight Lt Jeff Moreau has disobeyed direct orders from two superior officers to abandon ship. Come on, Liara. Let's get to the escape pod."

The Captain does not have to go down with the ship, and in this case would not be held responsible. Joker wins a Darwin Award.

When the Council says that there isn't any proof that Sovereign wasn't built by the Geth, I'd bring up the fact that Benezia said that it is too advanced for any known species to have built it. I'd also have had Saren's personal files from Virmire to present to them after I left Ash (or Kaidan) behind to become one with the radioactive fallout. You'd think that would have been something Shepard SHOULD have thought of...

Women wanting equal rights mean that I have every right to shoot them as they do me. They should not be put on a pedestal(unless you are in a relationship with one, in that case dear god man, stop reading.)

And really, why is Shepard so concerned with breeding children. Children are expensive, man.

This is why you have to do things correctly...

1) If Liara or Tali is there to present that information to the council, she is heroic enough to be credible. You on the other hand are not.

2) Not Saren's personal files. You want Saren's research files on indoctrination. You want Kaidan, Tali or Liara with you. Any of these three are heroic enough to have that evidence be considered "irrefutable" by the council.

3) You also want Kaidan to record the conversation with Sovereign and turn that over to the Council instead of keeping it "because the Council probably wouldn't believe it anyway." Because Kaidan is heroic enough for it to be credible. Preferably you wanted Tali to record it, but Kaidan was the one who did.

Ashley also did, but she's not considered heroic enough, and thus has to burn in nuclear fire. 

4) You also wanted Tali or Liara to record the Vigil conversation. The evidence goes into the "irrefutable" category.

Why do I say this? Because Tali's recording of Saren and Benezia (which could have been made in a basement) was accepted as "irrefutable" evidence in a Council Tribunal and thus set a legal precedent for the entire Mass Effect Series.
Tali is the most heroic of all, followed by Liara, then by Kaidan, then by Garrus. You come in somewhere around something someone steps in. Do you understand now?

Apparently, omnitools can also take pictures. We as regular people already whip out our cellphones whenever we see some random nonsense we want to capture, so it's not hard to think that people with technology such as this wouldn't do the exact same thing.
