...was I the only person who created Shepard after themself...and all the choices made in the game were choices you would make in those situations?

What do you mean?

They created a Shepard that looks or acts, most likely both, like them.

Well, in that case, who hasn't at least once?

The choices I would make were usually too dumb or crazy to be on the wheel.

I would have made a move on Gianna Parasini.

Hmmm... Going by what I've written, if I were Shepard I would have had Tali'Zorah record all of the pertinent evidence and had her present it to the Council because it would have then been "irrefutable". This includes all evidence in ME2.

Batarians are all hot-headed, paranoid, arrogant, A-holes.

In terms of appearance and gender, certainly not, but her choices follow closest to what I think I'd do if I was in those shoes. I only mix it up with separate Shepards, but as interesting as some of the alternatives are, I could never officially go with them.

Am I the only one that thinks that this is a good reason to have one around? Having every character just be friendly and amenable wouldn't be very interesting.

This. We already have that in the game with Javik. Well, okay, maybe not so hot-headed.

Although recruiting Balak might have been fun.

At least Bray, who Aria is/was on the verge of firing (and possibly executing), as a sense of polite manners, whereas Balak thought it was ok to murder people on the Citadel DURING the Reaper war. I let him live because we need him, but I head-canon having a private dual with him after the war to avenge those murders.

Didn't Aria say afterwards that she didn't really care about Nyreen sneaking away? She intimidates her subordinates to keep them in line. The only other knock I'd have against Bray is that with James, EDI, and Javik we already get three entirely new squadmates. I'd rather have someone ties to the past, which brings me back to Balak. What did Shepard say about Leviathan? Something like not having to be friends with it to recruit it for the war.

After the War, I would give Jack Kai Leng's sword that I would have taken as a trophy as well as give her membership to an acrobatic Swordfighter class.

I would tell EDI to either lose the body, or slap some skin on it and make it look like the hot babe it once was, for my sake and Joker's.

On Thessia, I would told the Asari to keep their gunships, I can make it on my own.

Whereas in the game, you can either demand it, or ask for it nicely, and the option to let them keep the gunships safe isn't there, much to my dismay, and it makes me feel personally responsible for the deaths of those two pilots.

I would've saved Prazza's squad by taking the lead with my squad.

I felt so bad when that YMIR mech stepped on that poor Quarian chick and shot her up, and good ol'Shep  didn't even try to save her.

It was rough, but Tali was right. Prazza was an idiot, and he and his team paid for his idiocy. As for trying to save that Quarian, that damn mech is pretty tough on a fresh playthrough.
