I ended up having to use all the Renegade responses when Ashley approached me after the Normandy was locked down. I was such an *sshole, and never got to apologize.

I simply didn't talk to her at all throughout my latest playthrough. I've already talked to her before and I don't wanna romance her so why do it again?



If you're doing a playthrough so you don't have an LI for ME2, just don't talk to any of the LI's in ME1. They're not that interesting anyway.

To turn Liara down, when she tells you that the attraction she feels to you is more than scientific, you tell her that you see her only as a friend. As for Ashley, there are two ways to end the romance. After waking up from beacon explosion, you can talk to her and say that "the mission failed". Also you can tell her later after she tells you that you shouldn't let wrex and garrus near the normandy's vital systems, to "get in line".



If when you end conversations with Ashley she says "Looking forward to, sir/skipper", you are "in romance". If she says "Well I should get back to my duties", you can't romance her at all. If you are in romance, she will be really friendly, she will talk to you before you ask her something. If she is not, you will have to ask "do you have some time for personal conversation?" in order to discuss with her.

Seeing as I've been PM'd about this, I'll let you guys know. The "let's keep it professional" line didn't work at all. Next time I said something that wasn't jackass she ninja'd me again and I ended up having to Virmire her.
