Greetings to all,
I have decided to replay the OC, starting my adventuring with a drow PC. As I progressed around, by the time I reached Neverwinter I realised that what I needed to revitalise a good old game was to make the companions, i.e the group somewhat more cohesive in feeling. Thus the idea of changing one or more companion appearances and perhaps racial statistics too if possible to drow came to mind.
I have sadly no experience in modding, thus no idea wether this was possible, and if yes, how, and what might be the "simplest method" to achieve this "for dummies".
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Changing companion race&appearance in the OC

You might be able to do it via console commands. Right-click on the companion you want to change in order to highlight them, then hit the tilde key (~) and enter the string "DebugMode 1".
Then you would need to use various console commands such as "Set Appearance", and possibly "givefeat" and "resetlevels".

When you were finished with your blatant and possibly game-breaking cheating, you would have to enter the command '"DebugMode 0" to finish.
There is no way to change the tinting of the companion models (most of them don't use tinting at all), so you might be stuck with very pale looking drow. They may also be bald. They will at least retain their proper gender though. Neeshka should retain her tail as well.

Thank you for your answer, I took the freedom to try your suggestion right away, sadly all I got as a result was "Invalid Command" by trying Set Appearance, SetAppearance and Set_Appearance with the desired companion selected. Since this seems not to be working with nwn2 complete, I have another question to bother you with. Would it be possible to replace companion appearances with those of npcs via override? I was thinking of the drow merchant of Fire Mountain as the only drow npc I know of in the OC. Replacing Quara might be enough for me, since she always struck me as an "immature chaotic drow".

Nevermind bothering further, I have found a wonderful solution in the gffeditor, I am able to do the changes I wish for with splendid results. Thank you for your time and effort for answering my question.
