It is obvious that the Warden (unless he died killing the Archdemon (even though they could bring him back the same way they brought back Flemeth...)) is going to appear in some capacity in main Dragon Age 3 game, but I think that it shouldn't stop there, rather that an DLC like Leliana's Past (only longer) or even an expansion pack like Awakening should be released, in which you could play as the Warden between the end of Dragon Age: Origins (I am counting the expansion pack and all of the canonical DLC) and the start of Dragon Age 3, or maybe even have the story take place during the same time period as Dragon Age 3, only somewhere else than where the main game will take place, I would really like the chance to actually rule Ferelden, since my Cousland Warrior Warden became King of Ferelden at the end of Dragon Age: Origins.

What do you think?

Let the Warden go. Just let them go.

Playing as the warden time is over now. However, they also did say that even though their story is over it does not mean we will not see them again in future DA games.

If we're lucky they may have found a way to bring the Warden back (if he lived) in DA3 or are still working on it for a future DA game as a full appearance rather than a codex entry.

Why is that obvious?

My wardens don't need to come back. Let them stay mine.

I took that as meaning that the Warden wouldn't ever again be the main (playable) character in the main game, not that he couldn't be playable in future DLC.

Yeah, I don't see how the Warden returning to DA3 is obvious *scratches chin*

I think warden have perfect ending whit closure. I don't mind if we have something like what with Hawke but a lot of people didn't like him so I am doubt. And I don't understand why is so hard to bring past protagonist it so easy and no problem just let as pick what they say it will be strange to speak with yourself but it's not such big deal less people cry what my Warden never do this.

Because Leliana and Cassandra were looking for the Warden and Hawke at the end of Dragon Age 2, and I doubt that BioWare would just completely omit both of them from Dragon Age 3.

I really don't think that we'll see the Warden again. Or Hawke for that matter. The devs already said that they won't make a canon of the previous events, so even a small cameo could make things a lot difficult for them. And frankly, I don't think that the Warden should have a relevant role again.

We may hear what happened to them, though. The ending of DA2 implies something after all.

Well i don't really find my new main character talking to my past main character strange. DA is a non-follow up story so having old main characters return as side characters will at least provide a background of their lives after their story ended, eventhough when a Main character's story ends their life after being a Hero or Heroine are rather normal and simple.

As one of my policy say about Heroies is "A hero is still a normal person in the end."

I will fall off my chair if either the Warden or Hawke actually make an appearance. They might be mentioned in passing, but I highly doubt they are needed to move the actual story forward.

Leliana is hiding the Wardens location from Cassandra :bandit:

The reason behind Cassandra's statement was not to hint at a great plot twist where they find the protagonists, but just that they vanish.

I'll be disappointed if bioware decides to claim my warden.
I couldn't care less about Hawke.

I don't think we are going to see the warden or hawke for a long time. It seems like their exploits are going to be hinted at in DA:I but as far as a cameo...I think too many fans would be upset seeing a version of their warden they are not controlling. They kind of dug themselves into a hole at the end of DA2 saying that both the Warden and Hawke disappeared. Now people are going to be expecting them to show up every single game.

Yes I agree what you say. But I think you don't understand what I ment. I mean if Warden and Inquisitor or even all 3 whit Hawke to, speaks at the same time and we can pick what all free can say you pick what 1 say then what 2 answer it's like speak with yourself.

Essentially what Knight of Dane said.

My Warden is off-limits. Hawke has a little more lee-way since her/his personality essentially boils down to diplomatic/aggressive/awesome and maybe even letting them fire off one line could perhaps not cause too much of a stir. The Wardens personality isn't at all easy to pin down.

I honestly believe that the hero of DA3 will disappear, and the hero of DA4 will disappear, and the party in DA5 will be all of the heroes that disappeared fighting the reapers.

And I honestly beleive they will just fade into legend and never be ruined by bad plot twists.

I concur.

No Hawke or Warden for DA3. I'm making bumper stickers.

My big fear would be either my lovely elf warden would look like a mosquito and have a welsh accent, or worse, the warden would default to a male human (much like the Act 3 statue in DA2).

It would take a lot of work to make this happen, and my guess is no one would be happy no matter what ended up happening. Of course, a reference to where they disappeared to, an alternate dimension or something, could be made to work.

That would have been fine-if Bioware hadn't made both of them disappear at the end of DA2. Now that it's done that, the fate of both them has to be resolved at some point in time or the whole series risks losing credibility.

No, just because Cassandra is a moron who can't find them doesn't have to mean that they have actually disappeared.

I really hope they stop using the Warden and any characters closely associated with him/her.

I keep wanting to let her go but whenever I see Leliana I can't help but wonder where the hell my Warden is in all this and what happened to that satisfying ending I had in Awakening and why they couldn't just leave it at that...
