Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't one of the developers suggest that the were looking into methods for importing data beyond simply flags? If so, isn't it possible they could just import the sliders for your character? The new art direction would make them look funny, but I recall seeing that somewhere.

The Blight wasn't centuries old. She grew up in the same year that the First Blight ended (it had started a hundred years previously though). I'm looking at the timeline right now - "203 Ancient". Dumat died and Andraste born (oooh.. what if she was an old god baby... wait scratch that thought for now ;) ). It's in the World of Thedas book btw.

I meant that the Blight had been around for centuries, not that it ended centuries ago.

They said something like that, but we don't really know what that might mean.  The slides wouldn't translate into the new engine though.

Ah, fair enough.

In any case, that was landscape she was born in. I don't see how it could not have shaped her thoughts. Sort of like how anyone who grows up in the aftermath of something of that scale is shaped by it. Makes sense?

I don't see why Hawke / Warden has to appear physically. The way I see it, they could have the Warden acting as Warden-Commander and giving orders to other wardens in Thedas, and instead of interacting with the Warden in person, we interact with him through other warden soldiers. For example a random scenario, a Warden soldier to the player character: "The Warden Commander was impressed by your presence in Orlais and how you handled the elven rebellion. He is sending us to Tevinter, there's been talk of Old Gods there. He / she wishes you good luck on your journey, and hopes you can settle this mage/templar rebellion.

Hawke could have similar scenario, except maybe a party member from DA2 would appear (or the love interest).

Yeah, but as I understand it the First Blight was focused up north in Tervinter and the Anderfels, far from Andraste's birthplace of Denerim on the fringes of the Empire.

If that's the case, I stand corrected. I thought of it as a full on nightmarish Blight (unlike the DAO Blight).

People are saying that the Warden has no relevence to the conflict in DA:I, I think that's wrong because the Warden is obviously amongst the most powerful people on Thedas right now (obviously, the one from Awakening, because the one from DA:O can be dead, although the one from Awakening CAN be the one from DA:O aswell), and also, if the Warden has any role to play in the future, it'll also be linked to the Darkspawn and the Architect aswell as Morrigan, as he/she was one of the last people to see Morrigan.
