That's because they're cloaked.
Infiltration Theory confirmed.

Hmmmm.........I'm suprised the Geth Engineer didn't make the top fifteen. Looks like no love for the Volus. We could have had four more Salarian kits.
Someone needs to take these bottom places, and I'm sure that the original Salarians are a little underplayed as well.
For me it's good that the Volus are down there.
It (kind of) solves the 'credibility issues' with them, and it gave us another species to play as, with more unique gameplay than the regular-sized characters.
Off to play as Volus Protector.

By the total time people spent on them? Or by the number of games people used them?

It is my first (and probably last) post on BSN and my english is very poor, so forgive me my sins if you can
My post is intended for those people who really can't understand presented stratification. As you can see, people dislike:
1) grenade-based characters
2) characters intended for CQC
3) adepts
While so-called "elitists" prefers to maximize DPS at all cost, "common" people (now known as "puggernauts"
1) Relaxing at game. It's obvious, i think. So CQC in most cases is not an option. Again, grenades tends to come to the end right in very bad situations.
2) Use no or minimum pre-game consumables. It's more hard to understand, right? Source of that behaviour belong to human psychology. Even if i have some (but not so many) consumables, i presume to not use their in public games because i won't share my goodies with unknown people.
3) Maximize DPS - surprise! - in respect to aforementioned restrictions. Adepts without consumables has lower DPS than gun-based characters without consumables, and most of them are squishy.

I f*cking hate PUGgernauts!
They represent everything that is wrong in this game.
You disrespect the good PUGgernauts, like myself?!
Haven't seen one yet in a PUG.
PUGgernauts usually only heavy melee everything, get swarmed, die and bleed out. They artificially increase the length of the game because apparently most people don't know how to kill stuff with it.
It also allows players to play on difficulties where they really don't belong (f*cking box-camping etc.)
For me it's most poorly designed character, it's an abomination. There really isn't anything more to add to that.

The other day I artificialy increased the lenght of my Gold solo to 20 minutes and a few seconds. But then again, I don't play Puggernaut but Megabeastnaut. Makes all the difference.Leland Gaunt wrote...

Male Quarian Engineer as one of least played characters? Blasphemy!
That surprised me very much. I personally never really play him, somehow I always prefer other classes, but can't deny he is powerful and it's not that difficult to do well with him.

volus is not good for gold and platinum. all the thing they got, the others can do better in term of killing
shield boost bug actually make me want to stay away from volus at all.
biotic orbs give u bonus CD is not important if u already get 150% CD. u won't get more than 1 sec CD bonus
quarian soldier totally dominant by turian solider in all aspect. dodging is a joke for off host
drell vanguard too little shield. grenade can not do enough damage to boss without combo
somehow asaris vanguard similar to drell. but may be they get statis for phantom. so people still prefer them

I mean, I can understand most of the least played kits, like the Volus kits and the other misfit kits (Quarian Marksman, Vorcha Hunter) but the Brawler and the Drell Vanguard? Those kits are among the most fun to play, even on Gold.

You should post again. Also, you're english is fine, better than most, I'd say, even native speakers. Don't be so hard on yourself.

Your English is fine.
I think the real problem with CQC classes is that people are unaware they are CQC classes and how they should be played, I've seen so many fury's not knowing how use annihalation field, people have no idea how to spec something new and it confuses people who are new.
There needs to be more teaching or hints or even links to youtube videos on how to spec and play certain classes, engineers seem also to be an underused class for people who are not 'elitests' because they don't know how to make the most of out their tech powers and tech explosions, same with biotics and instead they spam incinerate and dark channel, when for example dark channel doesn't stack, but how are they to know?

too much reasoning for a BSN post, I'm glad he won't be returning here
But seriously, you should join the party, we need manpower!
