So, I had a great piece of writing for "The Old Mage" that is carefully saved on my work computer that I forgot to send home.... I'm trying to write something along the same lines but it's sticking in the grey space between brain and fingertips. Blugh. So, I have some good writing music cranked up (found a concert on cable of a fave group), I have snacks, hot chai, the Boy Child is downstairs driven away by the fact that this music isn't "Your usual crunchy music, Momma" .....
And I'm stuck. Anyone have any unsticking ideas before I give in and turn to housework? I'm so not in the mood to scrub toilets, but I will if I have to.
HALP!
Halp! I'm stuck...

Just start anew, don't try to recall up what you had previously written or else it'll drive you mad. Just start afresh.

I've been doing that. Unfortunately, each attempt is worse than the last. I'm seriously adrift. I may have to wait til Hubby gets back and have him sit while I bounce ideas until I get the inspiration back. Ugh, I guess it's houseowrk for me.

I usually just step away from the computer when this happens to me. Go off and do other things. It's amazing the stuff that can come to you when you are cleaning a toilet....or cat litter

LOL I translated it. I've watched a movie, however, a movie about secret agent rodents (G-Force) didn't help. I think I'm going to give it a rest today. I've got laundry to do tonight and dinner to get ready... At some point something will come to me...

Lean back, close your eyes, put on a pair of headphones, block everything else out and just let the mind wander and eventually it'll come to something. Sometimes getting up and doing other things will help, takes away the pressure and stress so to speak. Worse case scenario you could start banging your head against the table.

LOL Banging my head might work. I did take a nap (which was lovely) and am contemplating taking a hot shower and seeing if I can get Maly to give up the story.

you could always have her do some sort of flash back to a scene of her and alistar like arguing since she was thinking about him as she talked to that kid that reminded her.
