I'm saving my money for a 3DS, a PS4, Preordering Destiny, and Dark Souls 2. If DA3 is good I'll pick up, but I won't preorder. But who knows, E3 might change my mind.

And Mass Effect 3 was even worse where EA was offered a perfect solution (the indoctrination theory) and refused to use it just because the big wigs new best.
Oh my God.... I agree with you... *looks out the window to see if pigs are flying*

I'm not wise, and when it comes to DA, rationality isn't an option.

They wouldn't try the disappointment thing thrice.
Or would they ...

Yes. I mean, unless it turns out that it's asking for microtransactions to pause or something ridiculous like that.
A possibly better scheme would be to charge a microtransactions to UNpause, actually.

As many others in this thread have observed, I think both DA2 and ME3 were excellent games. Yes, DA2 was rushed, and suffered from several "design choice" and "design shortcut" flaws. (Please BioWare, no more attempts at implementing an "Awesome Button", and I found the map-reuse less annoying than the kiting critters, but that's me.) Its worst offense though? Simply not being as good as DAO!
Yes, ME3's ending was was a bit 2-dimensional (no matter which one you chose.) But the "Extended Edition" helped there, (or made it worse, depending on your taste.) And the "Citadel" DLC was a nice final touch.
So while I have concerns that DA3 won't be everything I might hope (multiple races/backstories for your PC being the feature I'd most like to see with the least probability of happening) I am eagerly awaiting the chance to find out.

they will not have multiple races but theere will be origins that effect some things but you won't be able to play the small origin story like you did in the very beggining of DAO before ostagar. but I like the idea that we will be able to be different in the way other people see the PC. also it is nice to see someone who can see the flaws and the good in DA2 or ME3. there were some things I absolutely hated about ME3 and DA2 was rushed and it showed but both were good gamesThandal NLyman wrote...
I will, without a doubt, pre-order.

No. Even in the context of your original post:You're explicitly calling TES an FPS. It may have been a bit of hyperbole in an attempt to make a point, but to call it an FPS is at best misleading, but honestly it's just plain wrong. In gaming terms, FPS is a genre. If you mean TES has a first person camera, say that, but that has very little to do with functionality/mechanics of the game. It is the presentation. Don't confuse the two.Just like TES (at least since Morrowind)--fantasy FPS with almost no characterization, a grand sweeping plot, and a heavy focus on world exploration.
That's fair. I would disagree, but I understand your point.

I'll be lying if I said "I might have to think about this". Despite ME3's controversy (in regards to the ending), I don't regret pre-ordering the game.
