I don't preorder anything anymore.

I don't see the point in it.

This.

Unless it's a proper limited edition of a very special game, with extra stuff that's actually worth something, for a reasonable price (like this), I won't preorder anything.

DA2---Disaster
ME3---Disaster
SW MMO---Disaster

Definitely no pre-order...especially if they start going in the multi-play route like they did with ME3 plus pre-set character in DA is a turn-off.

I'll wait until find out more about the game, but right now I can say "probably." I'll order a CE if it contains special items/characters/quests and it only ~$10 - $15 is more than the regular edition. I won't buy a CE just for booklets or statues.

Only if they have day 1 DLC that I could have gotten for free, which they probably will.

Well, to be fair, in that case you'd just be pre-ordering the Day One DLC, in addition to the base game. Them calling that a Collector's Edition always seemed like a bit of a puzzler to me.

What's this human idiom I'm looking for? Ah yes....It's too early to pre-order yet!

I want to see the game first.

EDIT: For those who don't think there will be a "Collector's Edition". Do you really think EA would pass on the oportunity of charging the player 10 bucks for something that should be in the game?

EDIT 2: Mass Effect 3 sold about 4.5 million(source vgchartz). I'm not sure how good is that, but I don't think that's "a disaster", only the ending sucked, and the feeling of emptiness.

Pretty much the only thing that would keep me from preordering DA:I is if they announced it would feature an always online DRM required to play the single player game.

Depends on the preorder bonuses and how good a feeling the game gives me.

Yes, I will. I might also order a Collector's Edition, but it depends on the bonus items.

There have been numerous threads on this already with several stating that they will indeed pre-order.

I'll only pre-order depending on what special bonus they give for people who pre-orders.

If there is no special bonus then there is no point in pre-ordering.

Naw, man, I'm good.

I need independent verification that the Day-One DLC is actually an addition to the game and not something carved out to wring an extra ten bucks out of the unwary.

I need independent verification that the game doesn't feel half-baked because the campaign didn't get the love it needed because multiplayer was crammed in.

I need independent verification that the (more than likely) addition of microtransactions are unobtrusive. Difficult games are great and all, but an unbalanced title in the name of greed is no one's friend.

Even after all that... Does the game look fun? Might need to wait for a youtube playthrough and follow the news around it for a week or two until I decide to shell out my sixty.

This isn't really about anything as prosaic as "taking a stand," but this is The New Normal. We want to play a game? We gotta jump through hoops.

I don't generally pre-order anything.

I'm extremely particular about the kind of video games I'm interested in playing, and I get waaay over excited when a game I know I'm going to like comes out.  So I always pre-order them.  In fact, on two separate occasions I tried to con somebody at Best Buy into selling me my pre-order a day early.  (They shot me down both times.)

Inquisition may be the first special edition of a game that I buy (and pre-order).

I completely missed out on getting the collector's editions of previous games. Not a mistake I plan to make this time.

Yep, definately. Especially if there's a Collector's Edition or something. Despite what other people have thought i really enjoyed ME3(despite the ending) and DA2(despite it's many problems).

Will not be pre-ordering this. DA2 was actually pretty good, but I'm still butt hurt at what happen to ME3 (all of ME3 not just the ending). I will wait to it's under 40 bucks or play it if my girlfriend decides to pick it up. She likes DA more than me anyway.

Generally-speaking, if you ask the question: "Is anyone going to" something, chances are that someone will say yes.

Edit: Just to further illustrate the point, yes I will probably preorder DA3.

Once the game gets close I'm going to cut off internet exposure. Good or bad, I prefer to go into these games blind and the constant whining that we are so proficient here on the bsn won't do anything good for my experience of the game. It certainly hurt me3 for me.

This.

DA3 is the last throw of the dice for me for whether or not to give up on the franchise, but all the same I'd like to give it as blind and unbiased a playthrough as possible. That means seeing as little preview stuff as I can, and in all probability a BSN hiatus in the run-up months (just enough time for a cannon DA:O and DA2 canon runthrough ready for import).

I don't preorder games, but I will probaby be getting it on release day before waiting for reviews. Reckless, perhaps, given EA's recent record, but, I'd imagine, worth it if the game turns out to be good.

Yeah, that's really the only reason why I'd buy it.  I'd get the DLC anyway, and you do typically get some other in-game items essentially for free, in that case.

Too soon to say. Probably not, though, unless I'm really wow-ed by what they tell us.

Personally, no, I won't be preordering.

I want to read post-release user reviews before I make any decisions. Unless they make origin mandatory...then it's secondhand on console or skipping it altogether as i did with me3.

I am, just to spite this thread now.

In all seriousness, who cares if you are or not?

obviously you did since you bothered to reply to this thread. Always confused when people say they don't care, then feel the compulsion to tell others how much they don't care - bit counter intuitive there.

Anywho. I'll probably end up waiting a couple weeks to see how it turns out. While I won't just say I blindly hated DA 2, it was inferior to the first game. So in that respect, there is no need to rush and try to have it on day 1, will just adopt a wait and see approach.
