After DA2 and ME3 I am certainly not going to, as are numerous people I have spoken to. Will you be preordering?
Your questions wording and inflection seems to indicate serious doubt that anyone is planning to preorder DA3, but I assure you, many are. This is not a new thread--the subject has been raised multiple times in the past, with many people saying they enjoyed DA2 and will be preordering DA3.
I'm in that camp--I'll be pre-ordering DA3 the first day.

YES OFCOURSE! If not, Bioware will <wasthatreallyneccesary> you on pre order dlc and online passes. If there's one thing I've learned through Mass effect 2, 3 and DA2...pay now or REALLY pay later.
We don't know what the policies will be in regards to Day 1 DLC and multiplayer yet. With EA's change of leadership, there may be a shift away from MP focus (which I would certainly welcome), and requiring an all-online connection to play. One of the reasons EA was voted as Worst Company was its money-grabbing policies and attitudes towards players. With luck, the new boss will recognise that needs to change.

Why did you have to remind of the potential always online thing! Ugh, the prospect is cringe worthy to say the least, and I'm sorry for my wording, but it's literally the most sensible and accurate way of describing it.
50$ in DA2 DLC and them making me REPURCHASE an online pass to access all the preorder gear ( I payed 25 bucks for the dragon armor code, adept cooldown bonus was worth it IMO ) in ME 2 etc.... Yea, as much I love their titles I certainly haven't received my money's worth.
BW lost a huge amount of respect from with these considerations. When I look to Valve, R* or the like ( even Sq Enix in some instances, as a pub) I get a little upset. Soz

Where on Earth did I intimate that that was the case?
You dismissed the topic as 'another I hate Bioware thread'.
Perhaps, but it's unlikely. You know what I do when I play a game I don't like? I stay away from forums dedicated to discussing that game.
This isn't just a game, it's a series. And if that's the case, I would argue that you don't care about that series much.
I, for one, really disliked DA2 but am still interested in DA3 and the series as a whole because of how much I enjoyed DA:O. Do you think I don't belong here? Exactly what kind of discussion do you expect to go on here if no one who disliked the last game is allowed to voice criticisms/suggestions?
"Remember this part? I really liked it. More of that, Bioware!"
"I agree."
"Great, let's be online friends".
Seems to me that would get dull pretty quickly. Besides, it's just as useful if not more so for Bioware to hear about things people didn't enjoy, rather than just what they did.
If the OP is purely, genuinely interested in simply knowing our purchasing intentions, perhaps for some sort of survey, then why mention their own personal preferences at all?
To participate? It's not a survey, it's a discussion. You know, on a forum designed for such. Maybe they were curious if overall interest had changed with the recent buzz about E3? Who knows. They simply said they didn't intend to, and gave reasons why. Where's the harm in that? They didn't say they hated Bioware, or Bioware murdered their children, or what have you. For someone who doesn't like having words put in their mouth, you may want to avoid doing it yourself.

So, I think maybe the whole always on thing may not be worth it to them. Hopefully.

Herp derp. Because saying I don't see a reason currently is apparently the same as saying no reason could possibly exist.Heretic_Hanar wrote...

Oh look, another poorly-disguised 'I hate Bioware' thread.
Yes, I'll be pre-ordering. I see no reason not to.
Oh look, another poorly-disguised bio-drone trying to be a smartass.
Don't be such a drone. There are plenty of reasons why you might reconsider pre-ordering, not just with DA or BioWare, but with games in general these days.
So you admit there are reasons not to pre-order DA3, you just don't want see them?
LOL! Okay. No surprise there.

As for me, this is the first time I have visited the forums in months (3? 6? I forget). I have a google alert for Dragon Age 3 set up (screw you Examiner.com by the way). I am a long time player of Bioware games, I pre-ordered the highest level digital editions of DA:O and DA2, I pre-ordered regular editions of ME and digital deluxe (or whatever) of ME2.
I couldn't bring myself to buy ME3 at all. I am sure my restraint is relatively immaterial to Bioware, but I am seriously considering not pre-ordering DA3.

Going to wait and see if this isn't another game featuring an uninspired open air prison like Kirkwall with sexually confused characters meant to cater to the base whims of a fringe element of the fanbase before deciding to pre-order or not.
Ya, on your way to your clan meeting or at a tea party rally you can check online reviews

...unless it's only for next gen consoles because I'm poor and can't afford a brand spanking new console just to play DA3

Wow. That was actually so offensive I had to take a moment away to consider it.
Okay, first things first.
Sexually confused? No. If you are referring to the DA2 LI's being romanceable by either gender - assuming you don't meta-game, Anders and Isabela are the only characters that suggest they are attracted to both genders in their dialogue. And they aren't 'confused'. They know what they like.
Even if you do meta-game, each new playthrough can be considered a parallel universe for all intents and purposes. If you don't want to encounter same-sex romance...don't. The characters will keep their sexuality to themselves.
Secondly, 'base whims of a fringe element of the fanbase?'
There are so many things wrong with that.
What is so offensive to you, the fact that Bioware is commited to equal representation and equality, or that you percieve the 'fringe element' is being catered too rather than yourself?
Also, 'base whims'? I assume you are refering to sexual interaction with an LI. Is this something that you believe should be limited to straight pairings only, perhaps? Or do you frown on it for hetero pairings as well? Personally, I just want the chance to engage romantically with a female character, as a female PC, and RP a loving and trusting relationship.
If you're going to base your decision to pre-order on whether there are same sex romance options included, then you may as well cancel now.

However, I might boycott the pre-order campaign on purpose if there are retailer-specific pre-order bonuses. I'd rather pay more in the end than support that.

I preordered the Signature Edition of DA2 and I was dissapointed.
If DA3 will be something like Skyrim, I will probably do it, but I doubt that any new DA game will be better then DAO.
