Is ANYONE going to preorder DA3?

I won't though, I detest the whole "mage vs chantry" plotline, especially since the writers are keen to depict the Chantry and the Templars as selfish, cruel pricks at every possible opportunity while the mages are always portrayed as helpless victims who need our sympathy.
There are two sides to the conflict, and it's apparent which side BioWare favors more. Would it really hurt to make both parties gray? Does one faction have to be big baddies? Take the Witcher for example, the Scoai'tael and the Order of the Flaming Rose (two groups Geralt can choose to assist during the events of the game) are neither good nor evil, but have both redeeming and abhorrent qualities - there is no "right" choice between the two of them.
If DA3 is more ambiguous, more gray, then perhaps I'll pick it up one day. But at launch? No way, not with my latest dissatisfaction with BioWare's recent releases fresh in my mind.

Not all the Templars but just the majority. The Templars that don't believe in treating Mages like monsters but as living beings capable of reason and kindness are in the Mage Rebel side. So if you ever meet the Mage Rebels expect some former templars in their ranks.

I'd say it's a testament to Bioware's writing that you can interpret the Chantry and Templars that way, while many others who play the game are staunch Templar/Chantry supporters, while others still sit directly in the middle. Honestly, in my opinion, the Chantry already is depicted in "a morally ambiguous light," simply based on the variety of the opinions I've heard.Plaintiff wrote...
It's amusing and also disconcerting that people want bigotry and oppression to be depicted in a morally ambiguous light.

Eeyup! I actually loved both Mass Effect 3 and Dragon Age 2, despite the parts I didn't like, so I don't see why not.
Pretty much this!

Preorder anything without knowing its actual quality is crazy. I only buy games after reading several professional and fellow gamer reviews.
Some people like myself are invested in the world/story/and all around awesomeness. So we can't wait to see what else happens. Even if there was weeping and gnashing of teeth and cries about how Bioware destroys everyone's childhood and rapes mothers, I'd still have to see their games for myself. And early as possible

I still care about the DA world and I liked what the team has done so far, so if the game seems promising enough for me and other people enjoy it I'll buy it shortly after release.
