And why would Bioware would spend money and time on this? If after the surgery people still thinks you're human, that it's useless. If people start thinking you're an elf, then why would Bioware wouldn't put the option of being an elf in the first place?
Either way, it's (in my opinion) a stupid feature.
I'd want to be a real elf, not an extreme/insane cosplayer.
