...and it was hilarious!

The guy was giving out all the time, him and two others went down in wave 3 and he said "Revive us man, I don't want to use all my gel's in the first 3 waves." 
So since i'm nice guy I tried to get back to revive them and got killed for my efforts seeing as they were mobbed with enemies. I go down, he gives out further and another guy pipes in saying "Quit complaining loser", the guy immediately goes "**** you!" he then calls us "****ing scumbags". and left the game (he was lobby leader so what little progress that was made was lost)

I found the whole thing highlly amusing.

BoTB's are rarely really worth playing with xD as far as my own experience goes, out of all the ones donning that banner, only 5 have been fun or good to play with, 3 of them are in the friends list xD

Really not a good idea to judge a person on their banner. It would be kind of like if we judged the IQ of the OP on this thread.

A banner is just a pretty (or cool) picture!!! Doesn't really indicate skill.

Given the fact that he uses proper punctuation and his grammar's good, I'd say he has an IQ of atleast 107.0854.

The worst thing is that he was the host. Hosting a Gold Public game is some serious business. Random players will probably (or certainly) experience lag. The Host (and his friends) should be committed to carry it when things get ugly.

Regarding Best of the Best Banner, yeah, I use one of those. Today I died twice on Wave 1, Silver. Hopefully no one will write stories about it.

While most banners denote only a certain level of accomplishments, BotB can be obtained only by completing 25 other banners, including all the alien masteries, all the weapon masteries, and both the map and lone wolf masteries. For those of us who still aspire to earn BotB, players flying that banner are perceived as much more skilled players from whom we can learn something.
I played some silver games last weekend with a BotB who was hosting but didn't move for three matches. 0 points in game 1, less than 2,000 in each of the next three games. But the lag wasn't bad and the rest of us played well together.
I've learned a lot from playing with skilled players, and they've definitely brought my game up. But I guess BotB doesn't always mean BotB.

the past few days I've noticed lots of 5000+ N7 and 15000+ guys playing silver, cool...loading on on III-IV items for silver is overkill imo but I assume its because they have lots of it...

but if they die within the first 2-3 waves.. they leave.. every time
