I wonder if the girl in that picture has any idea what has proliferated on the internet.

OT: I wonder what the "Best of the Best" Banner has to do with the story. It's in the title, but the story seems to be about some players who didn't get end up getting along.

IMHO they rarely do, Below my experience and view on them;

BoTB means only one thing, and one thing only.... ok 2 things. You put in hundreds of hours of game play, and you care about the achievements. Thats it, it does not say anything about the skill level, considering how ridiculously easy gold is to solo with the last 2 patch characters. Most of the BoTB's i have played with, fall into the following category;
-They only care about themselves, and dont give a **** if a teammate goes down(even if said teammate was not in the middle of a horde and just slowly dying there.
-Dont communicate
-and finally,  prefer killing things over completing objectives(unless killing is said objective)

i would have to say 4/5 or 3/4 of all the BoTB's i have played with do 2 of the above, some rare cases do all of them, only a handfull imho, have actually been worth of a banner with the word "Best" in it.

I think the last time i encountered one of the truly "I grind nothing else" types, was a vorcha sentinel in FBWhite, vs cerb. on gold. he didnt revive anyone, not a single time. and he did not use medigels, we asked him to help us with the pizza boxes and hacks, nope. hes just running around nade spamming the **** off everything.
Then wave 9 comes... our team gets wiped on a surprise butsex phantom rush, phantoms still die to the after effects of our inc. nades. What does the BoTB vorcha does o_O he has 2 dragoons left, goes down.... does not use a gel >_<

And for the record :S he got outscored by a lv18 human sentinel with mattock 3 and an N7 rank of 47 xD and that beginner sticked with team all the time, and gave it hes best....

tl;dr

BoTB more often means "I grind achievements, And what does this button do o_O"
