Last...I posted a score from a gold game where I had 100k more than everyone else playing. So again...the thread is what is considered a bad score...eclipsing someone else by 100k....pretty sad in my book. The first game I played with TMB he scored 206 K using the DV, while I scored 98K with the GT (this was with a set enemy also) ... first time I felt like a scrub in awhile ... i mean Lag, yeah, thats the ticket, Lag ... lol
The other 2 member of our party got to split the remaining 75K
Nah, don't feel bad. That's just theTMBDrellGod Effect.
So what do you think is a poor score?

This is also true. The fact that the two super powers come together to combine leads to frightening, awesome sights to behold in PS3 lobbies.

Definitely true ... I've played many Gold PUGs with other people using Drells, and most of them spend waves 7 - 9 in spectator mode, watching you clutch waves

That's because they're not DrellGod Worshippers

Those who say score doesn't mean anything, I can't help but think they don't PUG much. Score is usually a pretty good indication of contribution in a typical PUG game.
Assuming U/U/G non-hazard and full 11 waves:
<40K - AFK bronze level useless leecher. Maddeningly common these days
50K - Really bad. I can score higher than this with a Volus Sentinel and a Falcon. I actually tried that out just to check.
70K - Legit Gold noob moving up from Silver, or bad kit/weapon setup, or just a somewhat poor performance.
90-120K - Expected score of a Gold level PUG.
>150K - You spammed grenades, didn't you?
>200K - Was your team AFK or what?
My question is, how come some games every player is over 120k, and then other games no one breaks 100k? What's the difference between the one game and the other?

Also Hazard maps.
As for that guy scoring a whopping 14 points in Wave 4... Are you sure they were there since the beginning? Because I'd think you'd have more points than that just by being in the game when the Wave 3 objective gets done...

1. What weapon they're using. Obviously, somebody with a Harrier X is going to have a much easier time outscoring somebody using a Phaeston II. And what about people who are trying to get the gun achievement with an unpopular weapon?
2. Are you using ammo/equipment? I never bother using ammo/equipment on Bronze or Silver (I do use Gear), since I save all of those for Gold/Platinum. So somebody using those in a Silver match is going to have an advantage over me.
3. Are you the host? If you're the host, it's absurdly easy to top score if you have a halfway decent weapon and build.
4. Did the guy join in late? Obviously you're not going to be able to catch up if you drop in on Wave 9 and everybody's on 100k points (unless something goes seriously wrong on Wave 10).
5. Sometimes you may just be having a bad day. I've had days when I keep getting sync-killed, enemies seem to keep spawning in positions to flank and trap me, and the ammo box is always empty when I run to it.
If it ends up that the 4th placed guy is 1/10th the score of the top scorer, I'll raise an eyebrow, but as long as the 4th guy contributes to hacks, revives people when they go down, and doesn't Rambo into mobs and then whine when nobody comes to revive him, I'm not going to think less of him.

Every kit in this game supports the team, some use this term support for the volus or Juggy as a crutch to spam one power, I will put up with it for the match but honestly it's BS, these kits can really perform, work them. I played with a Juggy in a random game last night, this player knew what they were doing and pulled over 100k, funny thing is their N7 and CP were very, very low and they were running a Claymore level 1

Might be their second account. I met a pug with N7=17 who was ridiculously good, turns out he had maxed his manifest and wanted to start again afresh. Was kinda embarrassing how he nearly outscored all of us with his limited weapons and equipment.

This is the best. I don't think I have a weapon over II and only half the kits unlocked on my other account. I use that to practice with. They will still kick me though for being n00b. Oh well......

Obviously, this in games with competent people - judging my performance based on idiots wouldn't be beneficial. If I had to put a number on it, I am disappointed in myself or adjust my kit if I don't break 70k if the best person is over 100k.
tl;dr - Don't be the jackass in fourth place who is 50k or more behind everyone else.

I've seen this quite a bit (top scorers dying all over the place). I pick stronger characters to a large degree to avoid dying/ having to gel. Otherwise it seems I have to buy a jumbo equip pack after every match and I want more guns leveled up! Whenever I find I have adren mods III for my Jugg I'll take it into gold -- good way to stock back up on gels!Jinx1720 wrote... I scored best, but died incessantly.

If the top scoring person has little medals.
I don't really care about score, It feels nice to be at the top, or even second.
However ultimately if you have gold medals in assistance, kills, revivals, over cover cover grabs, ontop of the silver/bronze weapon/skill medals; Than that is fair enough.
Being top isn't being the one who's working their ass off. Sometimes the top scorer is just plucking eggs from a basket- not actually doing anything but.
