Anyone see it yet? I really enjoyed it, loved Khan, it must have been the worst kept secret in Hollywood.

But I don't get why they had to park in the Ocean at the start, wouldn't it have made more sense to hover in the atmosphere where the indigenous people couldn't see and I get why Kirk gets demoted but I don't agree that the violation of the prime directive was that bad, the indigenous people were at such an early stage in there evolution that it wouldn't have mattered.

It's not released local for me until May 17th. I hope to see it on the big screen with family before we all go our separate ways. After that, probably blu-ray. :) Love the first movie in this new 'series'.

Just seen it. Story was incredibly predictable, the moment they open the missiles, I was guessing pretty accurately very step of the film . This film was so hyped for all the hard choices, deaths, conflicts on board the Enterprise etc but really, there was a very small amount of casualties.

I was expecting cities to fall, the entire star fleet to collapse, the Enterprise crew being ripped apart etc. Oh Kirk is no Shepard, and he never will be.

I don't know why but I'm finding myself feeling more unimpressed after every film I watch now. I'm just not surprised as much or sucked into films. No connection to the characters or plots.

Question, yes spoilers below.

When Spock and Khan were discussing on trading the 73 pods for Kirk and Scotty, Khan says his people can breathe in space, so why did he wear a helmet when launched towards the bigger ship?

Haven't seen it.  Guess: he was lying?

I don't think he meant space, Khan meant that his people didn't need air because they are still in stasis, thats what I thought anyway.
I do have to agree though that the plot was easy to guess, once I had confirmed that Cumberbatch was Khan I knew where the plot was going.
