For example, If a team was fighting in the snow storm, the movement would be slower than normal, but escaping the battle would be alot better than say on a normal day.
Seeing weather change in cities, outdoors, would make the game a bit more realistic (since some players like the realalisum thing) then having the weather stuck on sunny the intire time.
Would this be to much work?

If it affects combat or gameplay (slippery ice, slowing snow, fire-dousing rain, blistering heat, etc.) then that could be cool. But just having an occasional rain storm that does nothing but do a rain animation... I'm not that concerned or impressed.

In more episodic games such as Dragon Age it's only needed when it's supposed to add a certain emotion.

Agreed.
If they are going to give us more exploration or the ability to travel bewteen locations rather than just clicking on the map and being transported to another area, then I'm for it. Otherwise, it doesn't really matter to me much one way or the other.

But being able to switch more easily would be a nice way of allowing a sense of progressino of time.

Mhmmm...weather ******.
On topic: I don't care much if weather affects battles, but I'd love dynamic weather in general. Mostly cause I love rain and thunder. I always used the storm cheat in GTA:SA.

Would be awkward to have a quiet romantic moment in a thunderstorm.
Tons of rain, almost monsoon level, PC and romantic partner run up to each other and do a kiss in the rain, enemies appear, get struck by lightning.

ANYWAY BACK TO WEATHER
Rain, snow, hail(that could actually damage the player)...
Actually nah, hail would work better in an Elder Scrolls.

I like the use of environmental factors in a game, but I don't care for them if they cripple a player (for instance, rainstorms shouldn't render archers useless). You should never be punished for playing a certain class.

True....
But if an area is entered that looks like a rainforest rain would be nice (corresponding sounds too for that matter). While traveling over snowcovered mountains snow would be nice too to make the world look more real.
Getting stuck in a snowstorm, which is part of the story, and actually seeing that happen and getting to that safe house to sit it out is part of getting immersed in a game, at least for me

I imagined the topic being written by Rafael Nadal since he finishes everything he says with 'no?'Chaos Lord Malek wrote...

On topic, I wouldn't mind extreme weather events mixed into the combat/gameplay, especially if it was random so that even after you've played the game a lot, there can still be some variety to the gameplay. That, along with random spawning of enemies would be great. Oh, and I want decent loot from locked chests. Bioware:make this happen.

That's what I'm thinking. I find that rain or a storm makes fights/scenes more serious and emotional. Sunny weather is better for the everyday and occasional comedic bits whilst fog would be better in a more mysterious and sinister environment.
