For all those with conspiracy theories about the URs: for about 3 days (earning about 500k a day) plus a fat 2 million weekend, I got absolutely NO URs. Honestly, I didn't mind much, because I'm not playing anymore in order to get URs - too frustrating, that. Yesterday, I got 400k and got 3 (yes THREE) URs (Valiant, Valkyre and CSMG). Today I played a bit more and in my second purchase of the day, got another UR (Eagle).

Moral of the story: random is random.

It's actually not random because computers can't actually generate random numbers.

but grats on the good luck streak either way.

I got 3 back to back (Valkyrie, Venom, Javelin) in single pack buys last week and I've dropped a mil before and gotten nothing. They come when they come.

I'm gonna pretend ammo IV's and power amplifiers are URs.

Then I'll feel happy every single time I open PSP.

They can if you divide by zero.

Yeah, I have no problem with RNG, slowly but surely my manifest is filling out. I got a Shotgun Omni-Blade this morning as proof.

I'm pretty sure most of us will get their manifest fully maxed once the next ME comes out in the next, what, 3 years? *sobs*

Lol...yeah.  I swear the next time I open a PSP and see two Cryo IV's, I'll lose it.

Well right now after Reckoning I have the 3 rare guns to still max out and some of the characters. I had all of my rare weapons/characters before Reckoning maxed, or so I thought and I still didn't get any of them, lol. I guess that makes me lucky, seeing as how I see more people getting frustrated about getting it than not.

If the seed is truly random, how is the number created not random?

From the RNG store.
Remember to bring a sacrificial virgin goat.
Also don't forget to use a blade made of the tip of the lance of longinus.

Technicalities... :P

Sacrificial goats solve the whole problem, anyway. :innocent:

URs are easy to get for me.

Upgrades are not.

I've had a Talon and Wraith I for ever and a day it seems. My highest URs are Scorpion VI and Paladin V followed by a Black WIdow III. Everything else is at level 1.

EDIT: That doesn't include the former Commendation Pack weapons like my Hurricane IV and Eagle V.

Actually, there's a way around it. Functions that get the current time, can get it up to very small fractions of seconds. All you have to do is choose the last digit(s) as a random number. =)

If the pattern repeats at any point, it is not be definition "random".

Oh and btw, when I say "I got the CSMG" I don't mean that I got the CSMG level I, but that I got another lvl in that weapon. My csmg is in level 5, for example.

You can't get a bunch of random numbers in a row, no. But, for example, you can get one when the user presses "buy" - there's no way of telling what micro/mili/whatever second the operation will be requested by the user.
