Now there's TWO threads where someone is saying things about human evolution that make me want to get government-mandated remedial anthropology classes for at least one person in each thread. @_@
Humans. Were not. Born. to Apes. Humans aren't even descended from apes; humans and apes share an extremely distant common ancestor, and humans weren't suddenly born as pink-skinned hairless weaklings, causing their baffled hairy man-beast father to accuse his equally baffled, hairy woman-beast wife of sleeping with the milkman. It was the result of gradual genetic adaptations to environment over an enormous number of generations. Also? ****** habilis was using stone tools over 2 million years ago, well before our species evolved the genetics for less body hair. For the record? That was about 1.2 million years ago that that finished, and their skin was dark. Meanwhile, white skin is a relatively VERY recent adaptation rising among European populations - 12 thousand years ago. So much for white-skinned hairless ape babies.
Though I don't know why I'm bothering with the lesson, since I'm sure the person in question will proceed to 'sagely' tell me I'm wrong and it's because of magic or some such and was an overnight occurrence.

You talking about me? hey, it is not what i said, it's History Channel, between you and those professors, those professors are legit
I don't believe in Evolution Theory anyway, i discuss them here just for academical purpose, because the topic is related to sociology...when talking about sociology, we must look at human history, and when look at human history we must also look at Evolution Theory
Thedas is not far different with our world, it is just our world being interpreted in literature where things are symbolically presented.
Edit : in the documentary i watched from History Channel, it is about a theory on genetical error that could happen that makes Apes give birth to human in one night and explaining where human technology come from. Evolutionist lack evidences to support their claim and thus creating crazy stories...where are the "missing links"?

Well, i don't want to debate, who want to debate?
I just giving opinions...
Anyway...they say bronze age come first before iron age, how is that possible? Bronze is not come out from the earth, you must mix metals to create bronze. To create bronze you need a forge, before the forge you need mines to dig out the metals, before that you need tools to create the mines and the forges...and the first thing is you need the knowledge for all that...it cannot come from try and errors for millions times...even to create stone tools need tools...you cannot make stone tools just by try and error, try it...those stone tools are perfectly shaped, it is impossible to shape them without tools
Edit : The "Stone Age" don't exist, it is just a mystery why human use stone tools, maybe because of magic or religious belief or something that human once refuse to use metal tools, it have nothing to do with evolution of technology, those stone tools are created by tools
In History Channel, they show that those half ape half human wandering around and saw gleaming things on the ground...they pick it, and some how they toss it on fire, the gleaming thing melt....that's how human learn metallurgy...lol
I don't learn Evolution Theory from History Channel, i watch them just for fun, i learn it from school and college, so don't say i am ignorant about it.

Copper and tin is far easier to work, than iron. They used iron in the Bronze Age, but not widely, and not very effectively.Qistina wrote...

Humans didn't learn to work metal until very late in our evolution. And since copper and tin can both be found naturally, and doesn't ahve to break stone for it, and both are obviously harder than stone, the first humans, did not have to think too much and long about the fact that these metals would be better for tools. After that would a period of experimenting follow, and soon they would have learned to work the metals.
And you can make a stone tool, by simply slamming two rocks together, until one of them reaches the sieze and shape you want....

How they melt copper and tin? using stone smelter?
Copper didn't appear naturally, copper is also mixture of metals
How they learn to make copper and then mix it with other metal in the right amount to create bronze and using what tool after the stone age?
Edit : the stone work (this is the right term) are made in mass amount with the same shape, same design and the same furnishing, they are not created via try and error...try to make two same stone knife design by the method you mention

That said, I'm not entirely sure what alternative you're proposing. Was it aliens? If it was aliens, how did they develop their own technology?

It's...MAGIC
Evolution Theory is magic, we all being trolled by wizards and witches disguised as scientist, anthropologists, archeologists, evolutionists...
The answer is DIVINE influence, if i go to religious talk, this thread will be locked, so i maintain in scientific alternative....in ancient time there are chosen peoples, persons who are chosen by the Divine who teach them the knowledge human need to survive. These persons are called as prophets, messiahs, nabis, Buddhas, Avatars...they taught the knowledge from the Divine to human. That explain how human suddenly know the thing they need in their time
For example, what can be eaten and can't be eaten, this knowledge do not come in try and errors for million times, how many times human realize eating some fruit will kill them? Let say a group of human or half ape half human who are hungry and eat poisonous fruits, they all will die, if there are survivors, those survivors are not fit to carry on...and how do human know the cure of poisons, this knowledge also do not come in try and errors for millions times, how many deaths before human know something are cure for some poisons?
So, it is Divine plan......
Look at apes and monkey today, no one teach them certain fruits are poisonous, but they know even when they are just born and know how to walk, instinct? No, it is Divine plan, all animals know what can be eaten and what cannot be eaten, but human must be taught what can be eaten and what can't be eaten. For example, if you got stranded in the forest, have no food and is hungry, you will likely die eating poisonous fruit, because you don't know anything about it, you have no knowledge about it.
What makes human, human, is knowledge. We can live because we have knowledge, without knowledge we dead long ago...
Evolution? Human don't evolve, in fact if want to use the theory human de-evolved, we are lesser than animals....the monkey can run fast from danger and climb trees right away, we can't...we are fragile...we need to learn Kung Fu or Karate to even fight with people, but mostly we use tools such as guns...animals don't need
