 Hello fellow Mass effect fans,

How have you guys been? Anyway I am currently replaying insanity as a sentinel (I have all the dlc and weapon pack) with my personalized version of flare (modded). I plan on being a hybrid of caster and shooter, so having low cooldowns are not a big priority, but having to high isnt either. My style is using situational powers such as overload, warp and cryo blast and if needed be detonate with double throw for combo's. Flare is my more of finisher power (for bosses and because it was modded), as well it isnt even spamable, i like it like that. So I was wondering which armor peices go well with tech armor look wise? Stat wise? As well which guns are good on the class for a shooter/caster hybrid? I was thinking of either revanant and BPSMG/Talon or indra/valiant and BPSMG. Note that all my weapons and attachments are at X.

Thanks for any suggestions :D

"Visually appealing" armor is a personal preference. For example, I think FemShep looks best mostly in the default N7 armor, while I think the Hadne-Kedar (+weapon damage) looks terrible on ManShep.

As for best stats on a shooter/caster Sentinel hybrid, probably a combination or shield damage and weapon damage. I do not think the Sentinel needs much power damage since Overload is your only real power that relies on power damage. Your biotics tend to rely a lot more detonation damage. At least that is my opinion.

For weapons, you cannot go wrong with the Punisher SMG. It is a good all-around weapon.
After that, probably either the Executioner or Talon pistol.

I thought the eastern european sounding company (roskinov materials ?) armour looked and played best on my femshep sentinel. The faster cooldowns helped offset the increased recharge times from tech armour, and the aesthetics reminded me of the Kestrel armour in ME2, which she also wore :D

As for weapons, I went with an upgraded particle rifle. Don't need to carry anything else due to the infinite ammo and it doesn't require an ammo power to shine on insanity, although james' IEB ammo is goddly with this weapon  Slap on an extended thermal clip and a peircing mod and you are good to destroy.

The punisher is also a good choice, especially when used with a high damage pistol.

I have used the kestral armor, but not all of it, my chest peice was used for ammo reserve (i just like the looks) and my helmet is the one that gives +weapon and headshot damage. PPR is pretty good, right now Im running the Punisher and the Indra, my god the indra headshots plus cryoblast rocks man. I was thinking of going an assualt rifle loadout as well, but i have used the PPR enough, want to try something different.

One of my favorite sets of armor, appearance-wise, is the Serrice Council set. Unfortunately, all that power damage is of little use to a Sentinel, as Red pointed out above.

My usual choice is the Hahne-Kadar set for extra weapon damage. I feel that's one thing lacking on the Sentinel. But it's not the best looking suit.

The best blend of aesthetics and functionality, IMO, is probably the Rosenkov set. Looks nice and power recharge is nice, though not critical.

Helmets are always pure aesthetics for me. So its either the basic N7 helmet, the Mnemonic Visor or the Sentry Interface.

I wasn't too pleased with the Revenant on my Sentinel, despite the fact that I like the gun a lot. I had better performance with the Phaeston as far as ARs go, but I preferred shotguns, specifically the Wraith or the Geth plasma SG.

On a FemShep Sentinel, I went purely by looks, which ended up being a mix of Rosenkov and Serrice Council. No Helmet.

For effectiveness, I don't know that you can beat the Cerberus Ajax set from the last appearance pack. It provides more total bonuses than any other set. Frankly, it's probably overpowered. But I also tend to like the look, so that's what my current-playthrough Infy is wearing.
