QMI last tactical cloak evolution is +20% sniper damage, so **** shotguns and AR's...You only need a sniper and a sidearm if something gets too close.
Or just take TC to rank 4. He is never a sniper to me. Arc Grenades spam within cloak since it is one of the best nades in the game, and the best against Geth.

ive never tried a sniper on him, but I can see how it would be very effective against bosses ( pack a javelin + tach scan on boss ).

i do like the drell infiltrator for that reason. The thing about tach scan is that it will move with the banshee/phantom. It also acts as a targeting me hanism for your team

I don't think I've ever played my DI. I guess I should fix that.

It is indeed effective, i have a Black Widow I on him, makes short work of anything on the field. But ofcourse, if you feel like equiping him with a shotgun you should do so, somehow i don't like them, can't seem to hit anything, also too close for comfort when using shotguns.
I've got my QMI spec'd for damage on tactical cloak and also for arc grenade damage (AP evolution). I like the arc grenades just for nuking spawns and random enemies if i'm being surrounded.

Spec TC up to rank 4, and spend extra points in somewhere else.
If you like getting up close, AR and shotty will be better, but if you prefer to shoot from afar, SR and AR might suit you better (then spec TC all the way).
I prefer shotty though.

Arc grenades stagger.
Throw them when you need a wide area stagger. Throw them in cloak for better damage. Also they set up tech bursts and detonate. Do note that lag will affect your throw timings so defensive throws to stagger stuff so you can run is lag dependent. Offensive throws to stagger spawn so you have more time to clean up is much less lag dependent
Together with cloak's pass the buck feature for aggro, its a easy kit to go into gold as long as the team is either all infiltrator or with 3 non infilitrators

Bring a Harrier/Incendiary Ammo, and watch things die quickly

I made a post regarding him just the other day, I'll copy paste it in.
My MQI build.
- I don't play this guy anymore. He was too easy on platinum
- Incendiary ammo
- Cloak > arcnades. DEAD
- Here are some things you can swap:
- take tac cloak to 6 (no fitness) for a sniper build
- swap tac scan rank 4 if you want extra arc nade stupidity (personally, I only tac scan stuff I'm going to be shooting down a lot, or stuff that'll die from one cloaked nade anyway for the ping ability)
- swap tac scan rank 6 if you want more damage instead of a spawn pinger
- swap arc grenade rank 5 if you don't have at least 2 extra grenades from gear
- swap arc grenade rank 6 if you'd like, I personally prefer the armor damage evolution but there's a good argument for shield overload
- swap passive ranks 4 and 5 if you want more weapon damage instead of grenade cheese (sniper build, for example)
It's probably worth saying, though, that I don't play him, period, anymore. He's really an exceedingly good kit - I used him to adjust to gold/platinum, then relegated him to being a platinum goto kit, then to being an "I need a ****ing easy game" kit, and now I just don't play him because I only pull him out when I'm this close to rage quitting that I should just leave then and there.
Oh, and DI might be the most boring kit in the game, just a warning.

I'm guessing Cloak+arc grenade is the general way to play the kit?
... and carry a Claymore?
he's my BW kit.
Tac scan is a good debuff so I spec 66653
alternatively you could definately get away with 66660 if you wanted the extra 10% weapon damage.
He's a really good if underplayed kit,
though I like the FQI better
Edit: just to clarify I think people like multi shot weapons because arc grenades will stagger multiple enemies and in theory you can eliminate multiple mooks in one cloak cycle.
More theory than reality for me because my sniping/aim is streaky
but the potential is there

Damn near any good weapon particularily high burst DPS ones are great on him. Shotguns work particularily well because the stun of Arcs allow you to wade in and get down to business at arms length.
