Anyone switching between here and Answers HQ forums?

After swapping and switching, testing and trying, I found an oddball browser, QupZilla, that worked logging in over there first time, every time, rather than only once in half a dozen tries.

It doesn't work well there any more.  Crashes far too frequently, and has gotten bog-slow loading the pages there.

Given EA's and Origin's reluctance to upgrade servers in a timely manner, I suppose the whole place is only halfway online yesterday and today.  I use FireFox here on BSN, no problem, but the popup blocker in it can't be trained to accept the Answers / Origin Login dialog popup.

I'd rather not run Windows 7 on this old surfing box, but Browsers for older OSes become scarce too quickly.

(The upshot is that FireFox loads the Answers HQ pages in a flash, QupZilla has never been that quick.)

I went through the same test and try twice before.  I don't use late model PCs on surfing; seems wasteful, so I use older stuff, but an awful lot of my spares are / were close to the same middle age level, and suddenly, they are all dissolving into useless junk.  Opera worked at Answers HQ with just the first one of the three that have had to serve this duty since last July.

The second one ended up running on Mozilla Sea Monkey for several months.  Now, I am running QT Web (but it does some unsatisfactory things and is almost as slow as QupZilla was).    It's not been unstable like Qup Zilla suddenly became, but just now, pulling down the Help in QT Web, I was going to see what version it was, for this comment, and ~~ you guessed it, the critter crashed.
