You know something is wrong when...

Seriously, I don't know what's wrong with some people!
Joined this lobby to find an AIU/Scorpion, a Puggernaut/lolReegar and a Slayer (didn't expect much from this latter though) and since the first two had decent N7 rank and CP and were using level II or III consumables, I thought I'd have a smooth, relaxing match. What the hell.
The jugg apparently forgot he had a Reegar with incendiary ammo and basicly choked all the things all the time. The AIU folk gave me and the jugg a revive medal. I don't think I saw snap freeze once either. But what bugged me the most was the wave 10 hack in the LZ (Jade). By then I was already out of gels, and being a squishy drell trying to hold the line didn't work as good, so I got downed not even half way through, literally surrounded by all my 3 mates and no one bothered to rez me, so I got stomped. The Slayer got banshee'd right after and then the AIU abandoned the hack zone and just kept on shooting his Scorpion at enemies from a safe distance, leaving the poor jugg to struggle against the whole spawn. Seriously? You got repair matrix and yet can't manage to stay in a hack?
They of course couldn't be bothered to use a rocket, so the jugg burned through his gels and ops packs doing the remaining 70% of the hack. It was really painful to watch. When it finally was finished they apparently decided they were men enough to clean what was left of the spawn with their guns/heavy melee only so it took them a good 5 minutes and a couple gels to take out 2 banshees, 2 brutes and some ravagers and marauders.
The icing on the cake? The AIU jerk (who was hosting btw) starts nuking spawns on extraction wave in a futile attempt to boost his score. So he did have rockets!
The final score was something like 201k, followed by the jugg with 96k, the scrub with 80k, while the Slayer barely hit 47k with only an assist medal. I would've hit 230 or probably more hadn't I passed the whole wave 10 in spectator mode.
It really intrigues me how some people just can't get what this game is about after 400 hours playing it (yes I checked their HQs) not even using ez mode kits. But what amazes me the most is what are people like those doing in gold? If you can't play decently with those kits after so many hours you should really consider finding yourself a new hobby, or at least warn every player you come across you suck and are expecting to be carried.

And I don't mean that in the sense that they wreck everything as if it's easymode. Seen some of those guys playing, whoa!
If you're getting downed 4-5 times a WAVE and think you can take on an army of bosses with nothing more powerful than small arms fire and powers, well you're in the wrong difficulty. EDIT: I mean in the OP's scenario, I'm not saying you use Cobras at the first sight of 2 Atlases lol.
Maybe because I post here and read the opinions, but even a novice Gold player like me knows when the **** is hitting the fan and to pull out Cobras or not to waste all my gels on Wave 3 trying to save a game that's already lost (if you have a Ravager, Brute, and various infantry BREATHING on your corpse, you're totally going to get out of Dodge before...oh wait no, you got 2m before being downed for the 3rd time in the exact same situation...)

Today I want to do a game before work and I loaded in a random lobby with players with questionable loadout: totally look like they want to be carried...
Ok. I'm going to have fun.
GI + Katana, Shotgun V shotgun amp III Explosive ammo (I have boatload of them) and CM IV.
got Dagger/Reaper/Gold
by wave III they where dying like fly (one was not terribad but still) and I had to clutch 8 pretty much alone (still 8 enemy on the map with two banshee chasing me and the 10 (kill the target but I was out of rocket by wave 8 mid)... and another two wave 7/9 left with this poor adept that was trying desperately to stay close to me and shield boost...
Lots of back pedaling.... I hope those scrubs enjoy watching me backpedal with a pew pew katana...
was FUN! (49 minutes....)

I would pair that with those who don't gel. Indeed I find people dying every wave and not gelling way more annoying, but pugs gotta pug.Beerfish wrote...
Biggest annoyance in this game for me period is peoples use/non use of rockets. The economics of using a couple of rockets a match to ensure getting objectives or getting your ezone bonus is pretty obvious. a lot of people either do not use rockets or will only pull them out after it is too late and the situation is critical.
Like the guy from a match the other day, 2000+ N7 and good CP, collectors/hydra/gold, goes down early on wave 3 and bleeds out then says over the mic "oh man, I'm sorry, I just don't have any gels"... seriously? Wtf are doing in gold with no gels? I just turned off my mic after that.
Oh sweetie I think your definition of interesting differs from mine quite a bit jajaja it took 31 minutes... not fun at all.panda5onix wrote...
Fate, you seem to drop into some pretty interesting pug lobby lately XD How long did that game take? On the other hand, these kind of games make you a better player (but I do understand the frustration, especially w11 spawn nukers).
Of course there's the occasional random lobby filled with skilled players, but by no means the exception makes the rule in the case of the strange world of pugs.codsquallic wrote...
It's a crapshoot. Last night I pugged U/R/P extracted both times, and used only one rocket, with the scores going from 150K to 115K for the four of us. I don't know what happened it was like a dream or something. Also no Jugg, but two AIU.
That requires hosting, and sometimes I don't have the patience for a lobby to fill. But I think I'll start avoiding pugs again.wngmv wrote...

Don't forget they were both around 400 hours of gameplay and were using crutch classes. I can't even begin to understand what have they been doing over the last year, or what were they thinking to not being able to use one rocket and spare 3 gels.PraetorianVIII wrote...
