For those of you who noticed, I have been advertising voting for DA:O on Gamespot's Readers Choice Awards' page:   http://bit.ly/4HoByY

The pure geek that I am, I have been checking Dragon Age's progress in other categories, where it has been leading. Namely: Special Acheivements  - "Best Voice Acting", "Best original IP," "Best Story" and "Best Writing and Dialogue."

As of now, it still leads in "Best RPG" and "Best PC Game" as well as "Best Original IP, Best Story and Best Writing and Dialogue, but NOT in Best Voice Acting.

To focus on "Best Voice Acting," as of yesterday, Dragon Age was leading, with Uncharted 2 trailing only slightly.

Overnight, Uncharted has gained over 4000 votes???????? Notice that if somehow, out of nowhere, 4000 loyal fans appeared, why have they not likewise voted in other areas where Uncharted still either trails or has the same vote number.

How curious that Uncharted won Gamespot's "Best Voice Acting." I smell tampering here.

I assume you mean "tampering" ?

Unless gamespot is heating the votes in order to harden them.

Game awards in general seem like a joke to me. Whether or not there's bias here, I can't say, but I've seen enough bias from various publications or "t.v. for gamers" that I don't think there's much credibility with any of them.

To be honest, I think I enjoyed Uncharted 2's voice acting more. Not that there was anything wrong with DA:O's voice acting. And in terms of scope, DA:O achieved what no other game has in that respected. That said, Uncharted 2 just seemed to be more...I dunno if interesting is the right word. Immersive, maybe? I enjoy Drake's little curses and sarcasm when he was getting shot at, dropped off cliffs, ect much more then that god damned ladder thing. Just as an example :P

Although, for the record, I've played through Dragon Age like 4 times, and Uncharted 2 only once, so maybe that says something.
