Obligatory "You must be new to BSN" remark.

More to the point, however: To paraphrase one of the NPC quips in ME1, "Idiots everywhere!" You'll find good lobbies, and there will be bad lobbies. That's the long and short of it. I primarily play silver on PC and I've seen some really good ones— like the one I was able to do before work yesterday morning— and some incredibly terrible ones. Just brush yourself off and go back to it.

PuG really is serious business.

Everybody in PuG is playing for credit, ultimately... especially those in Gold/Plat.
..so only being there for pleasure might not be enough for many players. There are expectations.

Original poster was playing on silver. I can take his word that he is only there for fun though.
