pd: for extra noobness take grenade capacity gear and incenciary ammo.

PPR, Harrier, Saber, Lancer.
Hurricane, Talon, Scorpion, Acolyte all make good secondary weapons.
Grenade Capacity V or Warfighter V
Go with
Tac Cloak: Damage, Recharge, AR damage
Stims: Shields, Duration, Shields
Overload: Chain (Recharge/ Neural shock, shield damage) if you want to go no fitness
Passives: Weapon damage, headshots, weapon damage
Fitness: Durability (If you want to, higher Grenade capacity gear may mean you don't need it)

Harrier, Lancer, Phaeston, Particle Rifle, Typhoon are the weapons that come into mind for the first thought, but he can make any AR work pretty well.

That's 5 in Fitness, 3 in Crutchpacks. Don't rely on crutchpacks, you have at least 5 Ops packs and 5 Medi-gel per match already. Save the 'nade spawns for teammates that can do damage with their Grenades.

You can do damage with stimpacks, you know it, right?
Stimpacks are the strenght of the kit, it would be silliness to leave them home (or not to max them to full).

^This is horrifyingly bad OP. Please disregard.
First I have 6 of each, and secondly Fitness does diddly squat, you'll be relying on shield gate anyway. In addition, going three into Stims is dumb, you get a gimped power, which you'll still use, just with a lower shield strength so hit the grenade box more, counter intuative. Either go all in or don't spec into it, if you're not going to use stims, or limit yourself use Warfighter.
You also have 6 thermal clips too, which restock your stims. So again, why go 3 in? And relying on Pugs? Hahaha

You're so pro, need 6 thermal clips * 4 Stimpacks (and not even spec for damage, yours are full shields...) + 6 Ops Packs + 6 Medi-gel to survive a match.
Who said anything about relying on pugs? Maybe his friend's are playing a Destroyer or Batarian or Drellguard.
Wasn't serious anyway, you guys are right that without maxing Stimpacks there's no point in playing the TGI. Probably why I never play or even spec him and play all the other infinitely more interesting classes anyway.

Saber with Thermal Scope, Extended Barrel and Drill Ammo. That's basically a sniper rifle. Cloak > Overload > Body Shot is a OHK on all Gold infantry.
This is the best thing you can do if you want a sniper rifle without wasting the wonderful assault rifle multiplier.

You can go the damage route: http://narida.pytalh...ighterPackage5/ Can use duration over pack capacity if you like.
Or you can go with a "safety" route: narida.pytalhost.com/me3/classes/#Infiltrator/TurianGhost/LRFNF/CerberusHarrier10AD5AE5//AssaultRifleRailAmp3/CyclonicModulator4/WarfighterPackage5/
Regardless, TGI is *THE* infiltrator to use Assault Rifles. No Exceptions. Ammo to go for would be Armor Piercing Ammo or Incendiary I believe. Also you can go with Grenade Capacity V over Warfighter Package as well, up to you.

True enough, everyone should experience the OP'ness once.

This is wrong. Stim packs specced for duration and weapon damage still provide lots of survivability, and you shouldn't pass up on the extra 22.5% damage.

this.
considering that you get an invincibility frame, damage>shields

Do NOT cast your overload from outside the cloak, you should cast it from inside the cloak. You will gain both the damage bonus from the cloak, but more importantly, you will protect your power cooldown.
cloak --> overload --> shoot
or
cloak --> shoot
If you are running a PPR
shoot --> let PPR reach phase 2 --> cloak while still shooting PPR
